This thing needed a few things to get it to pass inspection and be road worthy. The regulator in the driver door was broke and the window had fallen down in, so I stole the parts off my donor xj and fixed that.
Next on the list will be the exhaust manifold. Any recommendations?
Then we got bored and pulled out the plasma and torch. Cut the front bumper bolts off. Going to be running 35's and stock axles for a bit, ill baby it and maybe they'll last somehow. So we bolted the 35's on the front and started cutting. I want to run minimal lift.
Man... this sure brings back some good memories. So you know that little kid in all these pics, well, he’s almost 16 now. 😂 and we’re building a similar setup for his xj. 44/9, 37’s, modified ford arms. But staying leafs in the rear. I’m going to talk him into starting a thread on here. Right now all his progress is on his Instagram. @White_medallion_xj
Thats awesome. Glad to see your son took an interest in something you enjoyed. Mine loved it growing up but couldn't careless now that he's old enough to drive. I look forward to seeing the build. Ill have to add the IG
My XJ is a stock DD right now, but I've got 70% of the parts I need for a 4.5" lift. So as soon as I get around to acquiring the rest of the pieces, it'll still be my DD, but I will begin turning it into more of an off road XJ, then MAYBE find something else to have as a DD..... But my oldest is only 4 years old, so she isn't interested in working on cars with Daddy yet haha......
Man, I haven't been on here in a fat minute. My son's build has come a long way... it was getting pretty built.. until he rolled it. He is a welder for a living now and is re-building one sick XJ. If you wanna check it out you can here.... https://www.instagram.com/white_medallion_xj/?hl=en
