I only had a little time last night. Re-assembled the 9". 3rd member in and axles back in. Grabbed a die grinder and chopped the shock brackets off as I will be moving them. Ran out of flapper discs so I couldn't finish cleaning it up. After that this things ready to go under the Heep! :headbanger:

One complete 9" stuffed with 4.86 gears and a full spool.

They're not really around anymore like they used to be. It's too bad i shattered one lat time in Moab or I'd say they're yours. I did find some here....

I tossed it. It broke the mounts off the back and shattered the clear part on the outside of it. It took a hard hit from the side.

Not that time. :) That trip went smooth right up until 10 minutes before we were heading home, then I blew the trans up. :w00t:

I know how that is a couple of days ago I got suck in a muddy sink hole. When to pull it out the chain slipped off the axel hung on my steering stabilizer bar and ripped it out, the steering stabilizer shock, the tie rod (whole bar) and tie rod ends out (was hanging about a foot out infront of the jeep); along with locking up my t-case :censored: :brickwall:. Got the t-case out and took apart, seperated, and cleaned (didn't break anything); got a bunch of mud and water in it causing the shifter linkage inside the case to lock up. Hoping I've cleaned it enough I can lube it up real good and it will work OH and it also ruined my brand new paint job :brickwall: :censored: :brickwall: :censored: :brickwall: :censored: needless to say I was not a happy camper. got pics of it just check out my threads

Not much progress lately. It's been slow going. Had a slow day at work on Thursday and i was able to get my stiffeners drilled and ready to weld on. Here's a pic of them in progress...

Attachment 392832

I busted out the torch and removed my sliders. I will be building some that don't hang so low out of square tube.

Attachment 392833

Looks even taller running no sliders.

Attachment 392834

Went down to six states and grabbed some grade 8 U bolts and bolted the 9" in, those are some 33's i'm using to just to sit it on.

Attachment 392835
Attachment 392836

A little wider...
Attachment 392837

My next step is to do a bunch of grinding and flapper discing on the unibody so I can weld the stiffeners up. :headbanger:

Small update. Things are slow going, but still going nonetheless. Finished the cross member, the arms will mount outside the drop-out center, this way if I ever need to drop my trans again I wont have to drop the arms and worry about the front axle coming out from under it.

Also finished the control arm brackets, once the axle is mocked up i'll weld them in place on the cross member.
