Figured it was time I start to document what all is going on with my jeep. Bought it about 3 months ago, and have found many things that I'm not sure how I didn't see when I bought it

heres the specs:

1995 Cherokee Sport
5 spd 4.0 - 143k miles
d30 & c8.25 with 3.07's
33" dunlop mud rovers
6" tomken lift
8k smittybuilt winch
four real steel bumper
surco roof rack
blah blah blah the list goes on.

I bought it with the intentions of wheeling it pretty hard and beating it up, which I was successful at. It has many battle wounds and plenty of scratches.

things I've broke, fixed or changed so far:

broke both DS & PS mirrors (tight trails lol)
broke front output yoke & driveshaft
rear yoke strap bolts snapped
took winch bumper & winch off
tinted tail lights
removed front and rear swaybars
bedlined the floor
ripped hitch bolts through unibody
replaced pinion seals

list of future modifications (not in order):

custom front bumper with hitch and D-rings
custom rear tube bumper
complete comp cut
custom long arm
rear 4 link
caged front end
raised gas tank
plate mirror holes
hood louvers
replace floor pans
weld rear hitch on
rock sliders
truss front and rear axles
regear to 4.88's
and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff, but thats all I can remember right now..

really hasn't changed much since I got it, but it will slowly evolve. I'm 17, and don't have a job, so it will all happen in time.

when I got it

after I decided to lay it on its side in a dried up creek bed

moved some lights around and got it how I wanted it

ripped the hitch off

snapped the front output yoke, and the driveshaft

caught a tree with my cb antenna mount and crinkled the QP pretty good

built a box to store all my junk, it'll be coming out shortly, I dont like it

took my front bumper and winch off, both will be for sale soon

figured it was probably time to pull the front carpet to check for rust.. sure enough its rusted through in two spots. one is clearly visible, the other is underneath the seat mounting bridge. going to hopefully pick up some sheet metal tomorrow and weld in some new spots on the floor.

also after wheeling this weekend, my clutch started to feel funny. sure enough, my master cylinder is leaking like crazy all over my fuse panel and floor. so I'm going to have to fix that too.

heres a picture of the floor, BEFORE I scraped off any of the bubbling paint..

thanks!

some updates on everything I've been working on..

mirror plate before paint drivers side:

mirror plate after paint passenger side:

rust repair:

I'll have finished pictures of the floor tomorrow. forgot to take some after my dad got done welding. and hopefully we wont have to worry about any leaks, we used an asphalt emulsion roof coating to seal the floor and, I don't care to hear about how I shouldn't drive without mirrors, I know its not the best idea.. but I'm sick of replacing them. I've been lucky they have springs several times, but lately its like they've broken extremely easy, where as before they wouldn't break lol.

heres a picture of the bumper I'm working on via sketchup. its not finished though, still needs a stinger and some other little things. hoping to have it started by monday december 12th
