I'm picking up the Jeep tomorrow from the paint shop.
I can't wait already. From what I see on the pics the body guy sent me, the color is perfect. Just how I wanted it!
Yesterday, I welded the axle tubes on the rear dana 60 to the pumpkin. It had to slowly cool down, so I left it overnight, an welded the truss today.
I also started tapping my Durango steering box. I got it all apart and market. I wanted to drill it today, but I don't know what size the fitting will be, so I have to wait until I find this out. If someone knows what fitting for PSC the factory steering box take, let me know.
Stuff just keeps coming in. Some goodies I got today for the jeep. New calipers and pads for the dana 44, Durango gear box spacer from Ironman4x4fab, new Yukon spindles for the dana 44 and a whole lot of Timken bearings.

Let us know when they are available! Will there be any options for those of us who's XJ didn't come with a roof rack and doesn't have the holes?

I got my Durango steering gearbox tapped for PSC steering assist and rebuilt.
It was a pain. I did it the right way and disassembled the whole box. Disassembly went pretty easy, but assembly was a PITA. Especially the ball bearings. For some reason, they did not want to line up on the worm gear... Got it right after like 5th try lol. Also messed the lower thread up a little bit and decided to weld the lower fitting to the box. It's not leaking, so mission complete, I guess.
I had to wait for about a week to start cutting and buffing the jeep, after the new paint. I started on Saturday, got it all wet sanded. It took me a while, so I started buffing on Sunday. An I was buffing until yesterday lol
It still needs some polish to eliminate the awful swirl marks and holograms, but I will get to that a little later.
It came out pretty shiny and clear after I cleaned all the orange peel. Pics don't really do the justice, but here is a picture, so you have an idea on how good it looks. It's not 100% perfect. but that will do it for me.
I also got my Walker Evans wheels powder coated. Satin black wheels with high gloss rings. It looks much better in person.

I didn't know that Green XJ was your guy's build, I drooled all over that one when it first popped up on Craigslist locally

And I was the one who purchased it (the green one, aka 'Scout'). Once I saw it hit craigslist, I knew it was right for me. Let me tell you that they (Goliath) did an awesome job customizing this XJ out from top to bottom. I have no complaints and wish them all the best as they keep making a name for themselves.
I promised I would release some picture soon but I was too busy with work. Pictures to come!

Not much progress on the TANK, I was helping my brother with his ZJ build (I might do a thread on the ZJ too)
I removed the engine and transmission out of my donor Cherokee, and it came out that the tranny had six neutrals lol no good.
Luckily I have another AW4 transmission in the shop that is good. The only problem is that it's from the newer model Cherokee where they changed the plugs in the harness. My buddy is already swapping the harness from the bad tranny to the new one and it should be ready to put in the jeep in no time.
I also picked up a set of axles from a 1979 ford f250 Snowfighter (most desirable dana 60 kingpin and full float dana 60) I sold the dana 60 and picked up a 2004 disc brake 14 bolt. Now the jeep is going to be one 1 tons. Sweet!
That was not an original plan for this jeep, but the deal was too good to pass up. My brother took the dana 44 and dana 60 (previous axles) for his ZJ build.
Now I'm getting ready to put that motor back in the jeep, but first I have to swap all the wiring harness from my donor jeep to the TANK. I can already tell it's going to be a pain in the ***... Once I do that, the rest of the build is gonna go downhill... I hope.
