I finished prepping the jeep for paint. It's all sanded and ready.
Now I'm just waiting for the headliner material, so I can make my headliner great again and put the inside cage together. Then it's going to get new paint.
In the meantime, I started to disassemble the axles. Started with the rear dana 60.
All I will say is... that was messy lol tons of dirt and old oil. It was a bad one. You can probably imagine how dirty I was by the end of the day lol
Got it all stripped down today.
Tomorrow I have to do the headliner first.
*the fabric for it should be here tomorrow, so fingers crossed*
I also got some stuff in the mail for the jeep today.
The first package was from rock auto. I like to order from them. They have fast shipping and very good prices.
Got some new starter, water pump, thermostat, and water pump tube.
I also purchased a set of eBay stainless steel headers, since my old ones were cracked. Typical...
The rest of the engine stuff is on the way and should be here shortly.

Got everything for the axles. The axles should be ready soon, but first I have to strip them down, sandblast and powder coat.
Moving along quickly, looks good. After blowing that axle apart next to freshly prepped jeep just be sure to de-grease and cheese cloth it real good before laying down any primer/filler!
Today, I finished disassembly of the rear axle. Got it all ready for sandblasting and powder coating, later on.
One thing that was annoying me, and was messing with my OCD, was the broken bolt in the rear full float hub.
Some broke it, probably years ago. I wanted to get it out. Went with the hub to the drill press and drilled a small hole thru the broken bolt. It was too small for my extractor kit to fit in it, so I drilled a little bigger hole. Now, it was perfect. Extracted the bolt. Went easier than I thought it would, but not as easy as I would like to either lol.
Anyway, I got it out and this is how the victory looks like lol

Yeah, right? I didn't really think about that. I have to take the jeep outside and wash it anyway because it's all covered in the sanding dust. Might decrease it as well.
Got my High pinion Dana 44, pretty much stripped down today.
Everything went quite smooth. I only had a problem with one spindle.
Tomorrow I will be cleaning it all.
So, the Jeep is now at the paint shop (since Friday)
In the meantime, I got some stuff in the mail.
The big aluminum radiator with three fans and an aluminum shroud should keep the jeep cool, along with some silicone radiator hoses. I don't think they actually do something more than the factory ones, but the factory ones were dry rotted so... why not lol
Other than that I picked up some stuff from powder coating (engine parts and axle parts)
Also got the axles sandblasted. The axles were a little rusty and crusty on the outside, so it was just easier to just sandblast them, instead of cleaning it with the grinder.
Started putting the engine back together. I didn't finish it today, but I should have most of it done tomorrow.
Also got that throttle body spacer. I have never put on, and I'm actually curious if it does something performance wise.
I spent most of my day on the Junk Yard looking for some parts for other vehicles. I did not find anything I was looking for, but I found an AC delete pulley, so I grabbed that for the TANK.
When I returned to the shop from jk I started working on the rear truss for the Dana 60. Apparently, almost nobody makes the truss for rear dana 60, so I had to make my own. Or actually, I would rather build one than pay over $200 for something that I can easily do myself. I think it turned pretty good. It's not too tall. I think it's going to look good.
Now I just have to weld it to the axle along with the front Dana 44 truss. I hope I can get it done tomorrow... fingers crossed.
Thanks for all the ideas. I purchased the 3m wheel today and we will see how it does. I will also try some cheaper adhesive removers, and if they don't work, I will order the 3m one.
This one is not getting a bed liner. It will be dark green (Tank green from jeep JK). If I was to bedline that, I would just scuff it, and paint. With the regular paint job, it's much more work.
I wish someone else could do it for me lol. But I have the deal with the painter lol. He is only painting, and I have to do the work. Much cheaper that way, and I don't want to spend a whole lot of $$$ for the paint job.
The other one, my brother built, the "Scout" project is all bedlined with door jambs and everything.
Who makes the roof rack rails for this green Jeep? Those are sweet and clean! Do they bolt/screw down using the stock roof rack screw holes?

We make them, at Goliath Off Road. Or actually made this set, since they are only a prototype. We will be releasing them very soon.
Yes, they bolt on in the factory, existing holes on the roof.
