Project "Tank"
So it all started June 23rd 2009 when i bought my first car!!!
The day I bought him
I added some cheap wal-mart fog lights
The switch for fog lights
All winter i drover him like this till one boring snow day, I did some web searching and fell in love with this site and all your AWESOME xj's
And Then i decided those rims either needed to go or get painted! And of course painting was cheaper.
Primer
Finishing coat!!
All done!! =D
Then i added some front tow hook brackets with hooks and a Rear Hitch
I rolled around in him like this for quite awhile till i got bored one day in welding class and i started this!
A friend helping me grind those welds
Painting!!!
Used the factory screw hole mounts =-P
Added some lights and this is what i got
Then after scraping some money together i bought a brand new 2 inch budget boost with pro comp shocks
The rear lifted..
My friend and I working into the night (got done at 2 am)
The next morning all finished
The stupid rear sway bar

Everything Continued
This is my friends jeep (the guy whole helped with the lift)
Then the muffler had to come off because it rattled against the longer shackle and really got on my nerves while driving
Then while lifeguarding at work I was day dreaming and looked out the window at my friends jeep (the green one up there ^^^) I Like his black bed liner on the lower part of his jeep, so on the way home i got myself some bed liner
Bed lined All the handles and everything!
And how he sits now...

Sweet Project man!
I know how budget builds are! I am still on a "high school budget" lol.
If you wanna build anything metal always look in the "scrap" piles at the metal yard. It is usually weighed by the pound so you can get PLENTY for cheap.

man you guys make me feel old and im only 23..lol, but anyways nice build i just picked up project number two since my first one has a cracked block..now its the donor jeep. Im on a limited budget so i feel your pain..it sucks i picked up my 87 with a 4 inch lift already on it and a busted front shock mount so if i didn't already have an 89 sittin in the garage getting stripped more and more each day i would be S.O.L. Nice jeep man and ill keep my eye on this one and see how it progresses

Alright guys, I have done quite a bit since the last update... I have just been lazy.
Ok, After the bed liner i decided one day "I want new rims" SO I went to the local off-road shop and got some!!
Then I came home from getting them mounted on, I grab some food from inside and come outside to show my Brother my new rims and BAM!! Radiator fluid everywhere... The Upper radiator hose had a huge bust in it.
On my next day off I got bored so i went to autozone to find something to do. I found some light paint stuff... I LOVE IT!! One of the best decisions for the jeep so far!
(painted the all the turn signals and the brake lights.)
lol
And how he sits as of July 27 2010

Yes folks, its possible for a jeep to get "stuck"
This is back when i thought i had a "V6"
I was turning around on this dirt road out in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, after this HUGE snow storm, a got lazy and tried a 2 point turn, going a little bit in the snow off the road which LOOKED like about 6 inches or so... Obviously it was a little more... The left tires were off the ground, and i didnt have ANY tow points so this Gigantic tractor with chains on it just hooked this big ***** recovery strap to my leaf spring my pulled me out like a play toy.. Thank god no damage was done..
