Nothing exciting to report. Just recovering the jeep from another lovely Michigan winter. Was under it and found this
Project: Snow Swamper-002.jpg
Project: Snow Swamper-003.jpg
It was actually worse than that but I pushed the flakes of rusted metal back up because that fixes the problem Besides that, I'm under coating the under body and wheel wells.
Project: Snow Swamper-006.jpg
Everything has a good layer of gunk stuck to the last layer so I had to clean the whole under body with a wire brush. Yeah, that was fun.

I'm heading over the Bundy Hill this coming weekend so I should have some good pics up on Monday. A friend is bringing his perdy JK; gonna get some dents in it and turn it into a real jeep

Edit: This trip got rescheduled.

My stock track bar was left on after the lift and didn't like the treatment I was giving it so it decided to make loud clunking noises and begin to disintegrate before my eyes. This is what it looks like:
So I just purchased a RE 1660 track bar and bracket to replace that piece of junk! Also purchased most the rest of the stuff for my roof rack so that should be going up soon (should being the key word).

Here's the new track bar

After several frustrating battles with rusty bolts, I got the old one off

Just to give you an idea of how loose the old one was look at these two pics

It moves totally freely. I'm gonna go install the new one now.

I'm assuming you cleaned all the rusty, flaky metal up before you undercoated over it? Hate to assume, but ya know....

Roof rack looks great! IMHO one of the best add-ons you can have for an XJ.
