so this is how its sitting right now but without the bumpers, spare 5th wheel, quarter armor, rockers and winch. I'm assuming its gonna drop a bit. I'm afraid this looks a little short. would i have to get the drive shaft shortened a bit? and how much should i?

so i talked to rough country support, thats where i got the driveshaft, they're saying that it should be fine and won't bottom out. should i trust them on this? or get it cut? i already paid nearly 300 for it dont want to spend more if i dont need to

I honestly dont think that is going to be enough clearance. Maybe some other people can post up pictures of theirs.

ya im not sure either, it does seem very small travel. plus with everything else going on is quite a bit of weight. worst case ill take it to a driveshaft shop and get it cut. this driveshaft was supposed to work for 4-6 inch lift. i have the SYE and a transfer case drop, idk why its so short.

With the SYE, you dont need the t-case drop. Taking it off would help a little. Not much, but maybe enough.

removed the transfer case drop and it gave the driveshaft a good inch of more travel. will the front driveshaft be fine like this? it has a good amount of travel in the shaft as well. also bled the breaks and need to weld in a new muffler in the rear part, the old one was too rusty and i just cut it off. coming off the lift today and FINALLY getting to body work, prep and paint

Very glad to hear its better now! Removing the drop kit will actually help the front driveshaft too. It gives it a better angle. So no worries on that part. Sounds like you are making some good progress! Post up plenty of picture of it being painted. That thing is going to be a brand new Jeep when you are done.

heres a picture of the rear and front driveshafts with the transfer case drop removed. looks a lot better now, i think it'll be fine. also installed a little 9" flow master muffler, has a nice rumble to it but not obnoxiously loud. i like it. everything underneath is done and off the lift, actually started on body work today. heres how its sitting so far without any bumpers or anything.

rear

front

muffler

test fit the quarter armor. little bit of bond on some dents. the rest to continue tomorrow. just wanted to fit the armor and drill the holes so then when it's painted i dont have to mess with all that and risk damaging fresh paint. they're not all the way bolted down in the pictures

thanks, ill see myself. i heard a lot of people say not too but also heard a lot say they're not bad. i talked to a guy locally who builds jeeps and said RC lifts are fine, there are obviously better options but for the price he said they're fine

Looking Good. Be careful with that exhaust turned down under the Jeep. Carbon Monoxide poisoning will kill.
