So its been a long while since i updated this. Not too much has changed> Lats i posted i was going to Rausch. Went with NYC Jeep Club. Had some fun. did some greens and blues. Almost tipped, took a rock too fast and i had littl eflex in ym rear springs to keep the body straight. Didnt brake anything and got plenty muddy. This kid in the club had some bad frame rot and his rear LCA seperated from the body.
After this trip i was able to get a good perspective on what i need to do to my jeep to get her where i needed her. I knew i wanted a 3" lift with 32s. Im at a weak 3" in the rear right now but eventually ill do full leaf pack and get rid of the relocator bracket so my leaf springs dont get bent so fast. Also get some stronger steering part so my front end can take some hits and be ok.

Looks like fun. I'm going to Gore Virginia, next month for a Big dogs event. Its called the fall crawl. Should be fun. I've been there a few times but never wheeled my own rig. Can't wait.

Rausch was back in August and after that i didnt do too much to my Jeep. Did about a 1000 miles of driving in a months time going to PA alot and in the beginning of September I took a mini vacation with my fiance to the Catskill mountains for a long weekend to enjoy some time away from the city. Didnt some walking around, hiking, and alot of driving through some washed out mountain roads. Can't find those pics on my PC though. Def want to go to the mountains for future vacations.
After Rausch Creek, my rear brakes were acting up a little from all th emud and crap, so i had to redo them and clean em good.

Took the springs apart and sprayed everything down with brake cleaner. wiped it all down. Clean the drum and the shoes and adjusted everything. Brakes worked better than ever but of course this was before the mountain sso now after doing all that braking down large hills, My front brakes are chattering during normal driving and my rears arent bad but have too adjust them some more. Least this time backing up ca tighten them since everything is cleaned so every so often i just reverse and tighten.
As time went on i just kept doing random maintenance here and there. My mechanic friend got a 46' (I believe) Military Trim ******.
Hes redoing the electric and some body work and is going to paint it. When hes done im def going to steal it and drive aride for a little lol.
Most recently i bought new OEM leaf springs from GeneralSpringKC.com. great customer service. highly recommend them. the wrong ones were shipped out at first but with a simple phone call they rushed another set, this was a friday mind you, and scheduled a pick up of the wrong ones. all i had to do is wait until Monday. New ones came and i tried to install myself but yea wasnt going to happen.

Wound up bringing it to my friedns shop and we got it done in an hour. Wasnt too bad, most bolts were easy to come off becuase i did the BB over the year. Dont have any before and after shots of them to quickly post, they are around somewhere in ym posts. They now ride flat instead of a huge negative arc but lets face it with the extened shackles and the relocator bracket and 2" shocks, its a recipe for this. Next im going to do BPEs and get 3" coils from a friend from my club and possibly LCAs but those i might wait on until after the holidays, depending on funds.
Today i tested out my rear flex. Wasnt too bad. Nothing great but better than before for sure.
Tomorrow im going to Stagg Hill in Mahwah, NJ to enjoy some trails. More confident with the newer leafs that i wont bottom out as much but well see. I still have alot of small things to do before years end.
I need to fix 2 TRE dust boots, those are coming in the mail, Have to install BPEs to gain some more on my shocks, my rear bump stops are no more due to the constant bottoming out of the old springs, and the coils.
Lookign forward to keeping her going and more so to th ewinter ahead. Want to get these items done now since the winter i wont be able to do much but have fun.
This is where Im at now and as i work on her some more i will keep it posted

Today i made it out to Stagg Hill in Mahwah, NJ with a couple of members from the club. Turned out to be a good run. Bottomed out a good couple of times and my rear end dragged on some of the rocks. It was all mountains and rocks, not too much mud. Did get a little dirty at least. Now to build her up some more to get ready for next time. My bumper did slam into a rock and it only chipped a little, didnt dent it so at least i can count on this bumper some.

So just an small update on my Cherokee. Last weekend I drove to chambersburg, PA. Total of 450 miles of driving. Got 330 miles from a full tank and straight highway driving. Went there for a family event. Beer, food, ATVs. It was a good weekend with the fiancé. Fiances grandfather had a pile of rocks I couldn't resists
Did an oil change earlier this week. Changed over to 5-30 for the winter. Also changed my shackle angle so the extended shackles would stop pulling the springs out.
Then this morning early before work I finally got enough annoyed with my exhaust hitting everything and its mother vibrating so since banging it didn't help I just cut it short.
After work I put on 2 decals from my local club on my fenders. Didn't get pics since it was dark but they look great.
Next on my list is completing the 3" lift. Just waiting for a member to take em off his donor xj. Just feels like a lifetime lol

Talk about ressurection, how you been man? I did the same thing to my exhaust. Same one, if you remember. I bought a tip for it from advance. Its square shaped. I was a little nervous about blowing all that heat directly on my shacke bushings. So that tip pushes it just a little bit further out, and keeps it up real high and tight. Its different too.

Been good. Work a lot and always put off updating my build. The way the exhaust is right now, it's not pointing right at the bushings but if I readjust my shackle relocator I def will have an issue. I'm gonna see what happens, and in the near future might pick up an exhaust tip for future. Inspections especially when I move to jersey down the line.
