Default Project Redneck engineering reversal!

Sup guys, Havent been on here in a while. Most of you probably wont remember me. So I was surfing facebook one night and came across a 91 cherokee sitting on 4.5" springs with IRO long arms. I called the guy up and went and looked at it at 11:00 that night. Thats where I learned my lesson about buying a vehicle from a redneck in the middle of the night. It was wheeled, the passenger side rocker was crushed. The wind shield wipers didnt work, the key was stuck in the ignition. Had no air filter. Had one nut on each U-bolt (wish I took pictures of that, very interesting).

Most of this I didn't find until after I got it home. Got up the next morning to get a build plan ready, I started admiring my long arms that I lucked out on and I find this. Upper link is bent, along with a crushed axle side lca mount.

So needless to say I was pissed. I've had this jeep a little over a year. In that time I did some research on long arm set ups and figured out I didn't much like the radius arm set up. So I ended up buying the B-Lee 3-link, and some iro heavy duty lca mounts. I've also put on extended brake lines and got an IRO track bar (PO was running the stock bar in the stock axle location). Current plan, I need longer shocks now. I bought some bilstien 5100's for a 4.5" lift and didn't even take into account the massive droop this 3-link kit would give me. I also just picked up a set of KM2's off my brother that still have a little life in them. And i desperately need to do something about the rear leafs. Shackle angle is horrible and as most of you know it rides like ***. Its been a slow build as I've had some life events take place, and other projects occupy my time.

The PO said that the springs were 4.5" rough country springs. I got to looking at the back and remembered that the 4.5" rough country spring pack used the stock shackle. From what I can tell based on the spring pack clamps and shackle these are RE springs. Can anyone confirm this? (dont mind the dirt)

Posing

More to come.

So I've made a bit of pregress with the jeep. The PO had a front grille and bezels from a renix jeep on it that didn't fit right. So I ordered up some new ones. I then got my brothers old 285 km2s off of his lj and pit them on some 16x8 allied beedlocks and trimmed the fenders. Also got some new billstien shocks on the front. Right now I'm waiting on my leaf sliders to come in the mail so I can get the rear suspension done. Here's how she looks so far.

That'll look sweet. My brother keeps trying to talk me into getting the whole thing done in line-x. I havent decided what I want yet. But as you can see in the pics, the PO went happy with a rattle can. painted the drive shaft and rear diff orange and apparently the driver side doors white again. What kind of sliders are those on your rig?

Just some home built ones. Made from 1/4 inch angled steel welded to the body, brackets welded to the subframe and the tubes are 1⅞ Dom tubing. I have plenty of scratches on them from sliding down rocks. A while back I was on a trail with a wrangler on 4 inches of lift and no sliders. I went first and slid down the rock with no problem. He went and put some pretty good damage on his rockers.

Havent done much to the jeep lately, but i did put in a new tranny mount and motor mounts, aswell as a header to fix the horribly cracked stocker. This is also the time i figured out the p.o. put in what appares to be a 4 cylinder motor mount on the driver side. The whole engine was cocked to the side.. Next up, 2x6 rockers, frame stiffeners and bumpers. That will be a while.
