Hand polished & cleaned up fuel rail..703's installed & new fuel pressure regulator.

My mini parts pile. New cat, 02 sensor, new yoke because the PO broke & JB welded mine together.

Also new IAC valve and a new sound bar with sony explode speakers. I have a new stereo I bought off of a member here, also a grounding kit from a member here (5-90).

Sound bar.

Cleaned up and painted my intake manifold with high temp 2000* temp painted and baked it in the oven a few times. I don't think it'll chip off.
I also have the high temp heat sheild thing that looks like foil that I'll be putting on. Wanted to lower the temps as much as possible, sucks that the EGR is just reheating it all.

Welded the cracked header shut & gusseted it. on 5 & 6th cyl. Wrapped and painted it. Ya the paint'll chip and ya the wrap will make it hotter and everything else you hear. But I did it to lower temps and will do it again even if this one cracks again..

Jacked the front up to see the height I wanted. This is about 1-1.5" higher than it sits normally. And with the fenders cut & rolled, I think it'll look just right for me. So I want to do a ZJ coil and new isolater to get to my desired height. Let me know what you think....
(before) how it sits now.

(after) front raised 1-1.5"

Finally getting some views and replies here. I get all giddy whenever I see new replies lol.

As soon as shes street worthy, I'll have a 2.5" mandrel bent downpipe made, my new cat & a new muffler welded in.

Hahahaha! Don't we all. If you wanna lift but your on a budget, take a look at Fat Bob's Garage. They got some really good BB lifts (2" for about $80) and things of the like.

I was looking at a 3" and 33x10.5's but decided against it since I have peugeot trans..figured 31's would strain it enough and don't need it breaking. So until I get a ax-15 in there I'm gonna stay with 31's & 3.55's. Forgot that in my thread, I'm hunting down a set of axles with 3.55's to throw in there.
Don't plan to wheel until I get an ax-15 cause I can't risk losing my trans...oh and my steering box pisses like a race horse so I'm hunting down a durango box as a cheap upgrade and fix. 33's would of just made it even worse lol...so upgrading the problems then getting to my goal.

Anyway I strayed away from the budget boost mainly because my rear is already lift 1.5" over stock..Its got a bastard pack in it. So I only really need to lift the front. And since I have no sway bars front or rear thanks to the PO, but no biggy. I wanted stiffer springs to soak up some body roll and thats why I'm after a ZJ coil. Also have some 3" JK "red body" rubicon shocks I'll throw on it for now even though they are too long for a 1.5" lift. Since I'm not wheeling it, it won't matter if I can stuff the tires or not lol. My shocks are blown and these are stiffer so it should be perfect for just driving around town and stuff, hopefully eliminate some body roll.. Plans are 3" and 33x10.5's though..just gotta fix the kinks lol.

Looking good man! You're making steady progress. It's amazing how a vehicle can completely change when it's in the right hands. Sorry the PO of your jeep was a total TOOL. Looks like you're fixing A LOT of his mistakes.

You have no idea...and thanks. I don't think any Jeep should like or be treated like it was. Paint looks 10x better now but I did a quick polish and never finished because we started working on the motor. When its actually polished and waxed it'll look new! Bedlined rockers are in the future to..just waiting till its mechanically sound.
I was told the PO was fired from Ford dealership up here for "half assing *****". This was his cousin telling me..same one that told me about all the bull**** he did on my jeep. Anyway decided I wanted to call Ford today about him..asked is they had a Travis Grismm ever work there. First thing I was told was, "Yup fired his a$s a few months back, he worked here for about 3 week. He shouldn't be aloud to touch a car!" I tell him thanks just wanted to confirm. So obviously this guys a dumbass and doesn't care how or what he does to vehicles. Lucky me ehh?

New update is passenger side mount is in and thats about it for today..Had a late start and it fought me the whole way! I found out my motors a filthy pig though. I drained my oil that has about 18 miles on it..literally put it in and drove around the block a few times..I only had the vehicle 24 hours before it took a ***** lol...but anyway drained the oil and its pitch black likes it been used for years. Plus the jeep sat in a river so who knows whats been done to this motor or how its been treated..run like a champ but looks like a gramp(grandpa)....
So I called a buddy that just rolled his renix thats got 107k original miles on it....ya tell me about it I wish I had that rig...107k on a 1989? WOW thats less than 5k miles per year! Anway I will be getting his complete Renix motor in a week or so and the rebuild will start. Getting it for $100.
I'll be ordering some of the parts for the rebuild tonight
.60 over, ported head, possibly bigger valves..Don't wanna to have to buy bigger injectors, so it won't be to big or crazy. I'll see how it goes and what my limits will be..Block painted either Hemi orange or gun metal gray...I'm worried the orange won't look right in my red jeep though.
Plans are for a spruced up OEM rebuild thats got some ***** and be alot more efficient. I wanted to clean my engine bay of the muck and grime anyway and its not possible with a motor in the way lol..So now I'll have the chance when theres no motor, also plan on relocating/rerouting & deleting alot of unessasary bull*****. Plans are to delete the A/C if it doesn't work and move the alternator in its place. Also plan on removing the clutch fan pulley since I'll be using a electric fan so theres less drag on the motor itself! Making it more efficient and more powerful while doing something useful!
Should have my stereo this week, and when it arrives I'll be doing the complete interior..new carpet, new center console, new headliner & a bunch of cleaned up/changed or painted stuff! Also finish my CB install and such!
