Project Pioneer
Well finally I bought a good solid starting point for me to hack up .... My first jeep being an 89 5 speed I bought lifted and what not. So I've decided to build my own.. Ended up buying this 89 XJ pioneer with 97k Original miles on in. The interior was so clean and the undercarrage didnt have a spec of dirt.
Before I bought this I came across a 93 2 door real cheap body was hurtin and motor was running rough, However it had a BRAND NEW 3.5" super lift superflex kit full spring packs coils LCA's shocks and all.

First order of business was a roof rack. So I took a trip to lowes and bought 50ft of 3/4" emt cost me around 50 bucks and went to work.. A few cuts and welds later I had a roof rack...
I'm very happy with how it came out being its the first one I've built and I totally winged it.... Still going to add more to it as I get the time...

Next Order of business was swapping the lift from one truck to the other as well as putting the stock stuff into the 2 door. We also added a 2" spacer and block to the parts truck( My buddys using it for a beater). We started the lift and worked untill the rain was coming down to hard and finally called it a day finished it up tonight and Im very happy with the outcome..

I'm extremely happy with how the lift came out.. The truck sits level unloaded however in a few pics all my tools are still in it.. That was right after we finished it up as u can see the hand prints of grease lol. I will continue to update this thread as I do more to the truck. May put some 33's on it tommorow and do some heavy trimming but well see....

how hard was it to install the lift on a scale of 1 to 10? how long did it take you. i plan on getting a RC4.5 lift and saving money and installing it myself.

The lift was fairly easy probably a 5... Just time consuming As long as you have the correct tools for the job everything goes together pretty smooth so long as you dont have rust on everything... Torches make quick work of old u bolts which can be a total headache...

Looks like it's coming along great. Nice and clean inside and out, too! That fuel gauge is...I dunno. It's something else, that's for sure.

When I first saw the fuel gauge I was like WTF! I dont get why they wouldnt just have a small fuel gauge and a normal tach.
Im going to be getting 33x12.50 BFG all terrains this week that means lots of trimming and bumpstoping.... Should also be getting 4 procomp 6" lights that I lent to my buddy back this week He is also giving me a RE track bar that will be going in probably next week...slowly but surely its coming along...
Another issue I had was the radiator blew on me last week so I got one from my boss and installed it and its leaking from somewhere different now I think its a hose..... BTW anyone from the NY area I part jeeps out for someone PM me if u need parts...
