Project Operation One Month WJ.
Well, welcome to the sweet land of the Speed build.
To add some good ole' history behind this build, my brother originally bought this dead WJ to just use as a parts Jeep. Originally a 4.0, with a generally dead drive train. Luckily, with the lack of rust involved for being in Buffalo, New York, it's not as bad as the other Jeep. We shall refer to the 'other' jeep as the Black jeep (due to it's color). The 'scrap' Jeep shall be called the Red Jeep, also.
So, originally the black Jeep was going to be added to with parts from the Red Jeep, but, due to the absolutely demolished under body of the Black Jeep, it is not possible. The Black Jeep is Terminal, as my brother likes to put it.
So, it was time for a new plan. I had gotten home from school one day to my brother standing in the drive way with this look of confusion, yet brilliance on his face and he just looked at me and said, "We're going to have to move all of that stuff to this Jeep..." As he pointed from the Black Jeep to the Red Jeep.
So, now, this act of sudden brilliance occurred and we were so hyped for it. Well, that hypeness has worn off and now it's dawning on us that, we only have a 3 weeks to a month at best to actually get this done, before the Bantam Jeep Festival, in well, Bantam, Pennsylvania...
But, catch being, this Jeep is now technically under my control with building, along side with (after this jeep is done and the GREY jeep is done, and road worthy) there is the fact that it has to be road worthy also, along with offroad worthy...
Soo, i'll get to the building. I'll update this thread with pictures in a bit.

Well, sorry but i didn't actually end up getting any pictures of the engine being taken out, or anything else up until where i really started getting involved in this, but a few days ago i really started going at the interior. I DID however, get pictures of that. (plan to put together a timelapse of most of these from here on out). I'm gonna post out of order a bit at times, due to the fact of having the pictures, or in general just taking them off the SD cards, but i'll try and keep them correct. For now, i'll throw a body shot at you from yesterday. She's on jack stands at the moment, without a rear axle (taken off after the picture), and pretty much nothing on the inside.
sorry for the overly huge picture. I grabbed my DSLR for a cloud timelapse (it was pretty, gimme a break) and snapped a few shots while i was inside after it.

SO. Generally, at first we're going to swap all the stock parts we can from the black jeep, and anything that's broken before/after the Jeep festival, will probably be replaced with something aftermarket. I just got a new set of headlights, but they need to be heavily buffed. (I'll take pictures of them later)
But, yes, there's going to be a lift. I'm going to take the 2.5" off the black jeep and put it on the red one, but eventually i plan to go up to a 3" or maybe 4". I also, am sooner or later going to invest in some RC 1.5" wheel spacers (or the spidertraxx 1.25" ones). I don't know yet though. Money is a big thing here.
I do have to give him his tires back after the trip is done So, i'll have to get a set of those.
I'll throw the list of stuff i plan to do on here in a bit also.

Sorry i didn't get much work done with that rust, and not many pictures were taken.. I ended up getting sidetracked, we patched a tire and plastidipped the rims, and cleaned the garage. Tomorrow, depending on when i get home although i'll probably be working on it. I HAVE to cleanout the engine bay sooner or later though (the grease and oil is probably in a solid 1mm layer all ****ing over the place..)
I also have to un-bend the front left fender (i do have picture of that)
Hopefully i'll get most of this done this week.
That list is soon to come.
