First off, here's a little about me. My name's Carter, I'm 15, and i'm down here in Lexington, SC. So, on to the jeep! Alright, so last night i picked up my first cherokee, which is also my first car. It's a 1991 Cherokee Laredo, got 'er for $600 (thanks craigslist ) She has 173,858 miles, PO only put about 30,000 on it the 6 years he's had it. Has no headliner, bad main bearing, mildew on the interior, lil' bit of rust on the doors and roof, rusted tailpipe, and im sure there's more.

So! She wasn't running when i picked her up, needed a battery, so we whipped her on a U-Haul trailer, then just picked up a battery on the way home. So now she's running, so heres the work that needs to be done:
  • Wash the dang thing
  • Tighten the steering column
  • Install radio
  • Fix the wiring on the fog lights
  • Satisfy my OCD and flip a speaker that was installed upside down
  • Take rust off drivers door and roof
  • Clean the damn inside!
  • Replace the main bearing
  • Get some new wiper blades, because mine barely move
  • Plast-dip the badging
Future plans/mods:
  • Rough Country 4.5" X-Series
  • Rustys Offroad Front Stinger/ Rear tube bumper
  • Smittybilt 10,000 lb winch
  • KC Daylighters
  • Maybe doorless?
  • 33x13.50-R15 Mud Graps
  • Maybe some Rock Crawler Steel Wheels
  • Switch Panel
  • And i'm sure there's more
This is gonna be kinda slow, i got school and a really tight budget, but thanks for reading my build and stay tuned!

All i have is the pics from the ad, will have pictures when i get home!

Looks like a good start. But, why the "mud graps"? Those tires suck ***.

So, i was washing the jeep yesterday (well my brother was and i was sitting in it) and i noticed the driver and passenger doors were leaking, so looks like it's time for new weather stripping! Also, I was checking on the air filter, and i open up the airbox and find this Hard to tell from the picture, but its a bunch of leaves covered in oil

Yeah, that's a good idea, I want to the lift ASAP, but it all depends on my budget. That's a good idea, though!
