Hello everybody on the Cherokee forum. I'm happy to be part of the jeeping community. I have wanted a jeep since I got my drivers license but I just never pulled the trigger on one. Well 2016 was the year I finally did. I looked hard for a clean 99 but as my luck goes I couldn't find one worth shaking a stick at. So I broke down and ended up buy this clean 2001 Cherokee classic. So far I've only done routine maintenance on it but future plans are lift tires bumpers ya know the usual. I want to build a both on and off road vehicle that is both strong and reliable. I drive up to 100 miles one way to work so a dependable vehicle is really important to me. As far as it sits right now everything is stock other then tire size I believe. But let me know what you guys think. I'm not a big jeep guy but I have the knowledge to put one together. What are some good lifts? Any other aftermarket parts I should add during the lift? Thanks for looking!!

What is the purpose of a long arm kit? Is there noticeable results with 3.5 inches of lift and a long arm set up?

Ive done a lttle bit of researching and i think i might go with the OME kit with new control arms and track bar etc. I don't t know if its just me but presentation is key when explaing or describing a product especially something as expensive as a lift. The RE description was just about a paragraph long compared to the 10 minutes of reading on the ome where they actually explain all the features their lift offers. The lift wont come till after tax season but i have to get my research done now so i buy a quality product. But on the other hand i hope when this cold spell breaks i can tackle this lukewarm heat im getting and do some maintenance on the jeep.
