Project no name (yet)
Ive been on this forum for a few years (not registered just looking) and finally decided to join and post my build. I have owned 3 cherokees a 1987 xj with 4.0L 5Speed (PUkegoat) trans 4x4 with around 4 inches of lift on 31's
had to replace the trans and D35 on the 87
a 1988 xj 4.0L AW4 4x4 all stock was my DD while i delivered pizzas for pizza hut. i got some deliveries that no one else could do because i had a back seat and 4x4.
and now to my current one
it is a 1991 XJ 4.0L AW4 4x4 with a blown C8.25 a wobbly D30 up front and rusted floorboards. to start with i bought the jeep for $500 about 5-7 months ago drove it home with about 180,*** miles on her. no issues other than the axle whining since i got her. the door hinge was rusted off so that was first to be fixed.

Ok for me to tackle welding the door hinge was a completely new thing for me. I have never welded in my life. using my dads ready welder hooked up to 2 car batteries for 24v I got the job done here are some pics of the work.
I had to remove header panel to remove fender to get to the hinge.
Then I had to remove the door.
My best friend when it came to removing rusted bolts.
Then off came the fender.
Cut the hinges for easy reinstillation and for the future doorless mod I will be doing.
Welded(I know the welds suck but its solid and this was my first welding attempt) the hinge reinstalled door.Thats all the pics I have of this project.
