Project my first jeep
So picked up my first ever jeep, 94 xj with 176k everything works except for cruise which I dont really care about.

Nice Jeep man, should be a nice build. Test out those rear "recovery" points before allowing anyone to touch them and ditch the blocks.

how should I test them?

wrap a strap around a big tree, pull on it with the jeep. If it snaps off it wont kill anyone where as if it snapped on the trail it would kill someone.

I'd suggest cutting them straight off and putting in proper mounts then.

can you give me an idea of proper mounts? |
This is what I use.
http://www.tmrcustoms.com/store/inde...roducts_id=423 You cut straight through the bumper and weld it on both sides. |
thanks man

No problem, its Much stronger, TMR customs has 4packs too.
I had 2 on the front and 2 on the rear, will be doing the same thing on my new XJ. |

awesome, know of any places around here to go do some wheeling nothing to crazy i just want to try this beast out on something light or whatever it can handle |
figured Id give an update on this thing, ordered a 3" rough country lift with new rear leaf packs, quick disconnects, and a new steering stabilizer.
Still need to order new track bar, and buy a welder |
Sounds like it is coming together nicely... Can't wait to see some pics of the install and aftermath of the lift...
