Default Project Mrs. Jeep

1992. jeep cherokee, 2wd, 4.0L with aw4 4spd. Over 200k miles on the chassis. it was a project for the previous owner.

he did some floor pan work on the passenger side , will definately have to be redone though as he just put a plate over the hole. interior got ripped out. No carpet.

He had the exhaust completely removed as it apparently gotten some damage and the manifold was cracked.

The coolant system had a rupture at the radiator return based on the coolant stain mess.

The original motor was apparently shot, he had purchased a motor/trani from a 95' and stuffed it in and started to put wires together.

Current agenda:

Replace bad radiator
Replace exhaust manifold with an upgraded part
Replace exhaust pipe
Attempt to sort out the wiring

That sounds like your going to be having alot of fun. I hate trying to figure out other peoples wiring.
What are your plans for it? Converting to 4x4 or leaving it 2wd? What part of Arizona you in? I was born and raised in morenci.
Can't wait to see some pics.

I live down in the valley in phoenix, 2nd hottest place I know off with yuma having a slight lead in 1st.

First part of the agenda is to get it fired up and running to make sure I dont have work internally I have to do. did a compression test and got awsome numbers but not sure on trani yet.

The jeep is for my wife mostly as we needed something with good cargo space. id like to make it 4wd but that might be awhile. its intended to be a reliable daily driver with some upgrades thrown in to help it out.

Also electrical wiring.....

Sounds like you have an interesting project, im building a very reliable daily driver now for the family to use on the weekends...

Before i considered all the cost of making it a 4wd, just throw a detroit truetrac or an ARB locker in the rear and call it good. You will then have better tracting that a 4wd open diff vehicle.

Few pictures of the outside of the jeep. I of course misplaced the keys and the wife wont answer her phone to tell me where they are.
