Next I want to do gears (and would love to do lockers). Go to 4.56s. I was debating between them or 4.10s but I don't do much highway driving so 4.56s seem more likely. It's gonna be a while since we just moved. I suppose after that it'll be other stuff like bumpers, flares, some other small things and whatever else catches my interest. |
also, where did you get the flip-up head unit? and how much did it cost you?

Turbocharged beast, and I got pregnant. It was a low, quick, two door beast that wasn't baby friendly. Miss that thing so much though.

We got that a long time ago back when we had a GMC Typhoon. It was brand new laying around cuz we took it out when we sold the Typhoon and I didn't like the radio in the Jeep, so yeah. I don't remember how much and the place we got it closed down.

Went riding around Sam Houston National forest today on their dirt roads exploring and stuff...then found a small mud pit. And was like why not :)

Just to show a difference in the sway bar being connected and disconnected (since on the old lift I didn't have a sway bar at all)
This is connected Couldn't go further cuz of the back tire scrubbing the fender. (need to trim those!) |

Here's without it. Sorry for crappy cell phone pics...the difference it quite a bit though.

I hope to have mine back together this weekend, then we can plan a Houston Trip. Check this page out:

Hey guys! So I've got this idea, but safety is a concern considering it'll be my daughter's seat. My boyfriend is removing the seats from the SRT4 for weight reduction. We usually use my jeep when were all going places anyhow. I want to take the passenger side SRT seat and put it in place of my back seat. I don't like the full bench.
My questions are: Is there a good mounting spot? Can it be mounted safely? Any input would be great. |
Eh, nevermind. Not gonna work...guess back to the 60/40 idea...
|
Took the roof rack off to clean the dirty ole roof, found two tiny rust spots. Nothing major I'll fix them soon. Been kinda waiting on some funds so I can get a hardware kit for my rear brakes, then I'll do brakes all the way around since I have the other stuff. I need to get motivated on getting my slip yoke eliminator in too.

From Spring, Texas to Mulliken, Michigan both the Jeep and the SRT4 never missed a beat. 28 hour drive (over the course of two days and 50-60MPH) and 1244 miles. Proud of both of them :D

Thanks! And yeah, I'm gonna put them on the bumper, but it'll have to wait until I get an aftermarket one. I'm thinking about the OR-FAB tube looking bumper. I like it, but not the price. Might have a skilled welder and tube bender build me something similar.

Yeah. Well we moved from NC to Texas for a job that he his mom "was 98% sure he had" turned out he didn't have it. So his brother got him a guaranteed job with him at a tire shop making more than he was making in Texas. That and the cost of living is cheaper in Michigan, minus the gas.
but the weather changes every 5 min.... I too work at a tire shop by me. I actually enjoy the work i wish i got paid more though. |

So we've finally got moved into our own place in Mulliken with a garage. As soon as money permits, rebuild kit for my T case so I can get the SYE in and FINALLY be able to do some wheeling. :) I'm excited.
|
Started putting the SYE today. Trying to do it in the Jeep. Tim thinks it'll be easier in the Jeep, I have a different opinion. But we'll try it. Lol. I need a good set of snap ring pliers before continuing. So if anyone near Mulliken/Lansing area has any I can borrow by Sunday it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you get a set with flat tips fpr earless rings, you can pick up a set at sears for like 15 bucks. The job can be done without them but it's a super P.I.T.A. It would be way easier to install the kit on the work bench rather than under the jeep. I dropped mine in little more than an hour and it was my first time pulling out a np231. But thats just my two cents. Good luck! |

So over the weekend i did cut and fold on my rear fenders. It went quite successfully...ish. lol. Had to use the mother of all grinders, but it worked. I started out cutting, and me being little ole me i used the tire as an anchor/prop. Once i started getting to the higher arch i was getting wobbly and it was kinda sketchy so since my boyfriend is stronger he did that....and then cut his finger pretty good. After that he wouldn't let me do it. But it got finished! Lol i'll post pics when its all done, waiting on the weather to warm up so i can throw some undercoat where it was cut and folded.
