I got back to working on the jeep again, but ive been chasing grimlins today. I managed to get all but my drivers doors to lock/unlock electronically. The drivers lock/unlock manual switch seems completely stuck, so maybe there is a mechanical issue there. I didn't even try to see if I could lock/unlock it with my key either, so something else to check into. Its been a give and take kind of day.
I managed to somehow lose the ability to function the window at the front passenger control, even though it still works from the drivers controls. I tried to re solder the switch, but nothing changed. I had just switched the pass door wires for the one from the parts jeep, so it could be a broken wire. I thought all the parts jeep wiring was good, so maybe it's an issue in the drivers controls. Damn these silly door wiring set-ups.
I did manage to swap the drivers door seal with one from the parts jeep, so maybe I fixed a leak ; we'll see, lol. I also swapped both the dash end pieces and both a piller plastics for my dark grey ones. Im not sure if this would cause a leak into the cab for sure, but its where water was pooling on the inside, so i traded drivers door seals with the parts jeep. I hope it fixes it.
Whatever the plastic liner deal is that's behind the door panel got swapped on the passenger front door as well. Boy was that a pita! The parts jeep had a nice stick on foam like panel vs the cheap 2pc flimsy plastic ones like mine. I had to clean off a crap ton of that sticky tar like junk on the inside of my door, but my front doors should hold in the heat better now. That tar was so time consuming that I've decided not to even attempt the rear doors. Yay! I got all the tar off my door that was holding the cheap plastic liners in place.
Its slightly beat up but this foam liner is still a pretty big improvement from the cheap plasic sheets that were on here.

Sounds good man I have and got plenty of them to share. Friend ordered way too many for his job and realized he had no space for them. So I figured I have some good use of them Those are energy bushings right? If so those are quality Some will say they squeak overtime just need to keep them lubricated. I put some grease on mine for my F350 sway bar almost a year ago and with water and snow even in a year no squeaks and still have signs of grease on them.

It seemed pretty straight forward to me. I paid via a guest account on pay pal, then got emails to follow links to fill out some personal info and add a conformation number and that was it. I hope your next try goes better.

You might well need three of them to make one good runner out of. My parts jeep has saved me a lot of headaches so far.
I didn't expect mine to be this big of a project. The blown spiders in the rear, the wiring, the bent sway bar, and the water leaks were all big surprises. Thank goodness I didn't count on this being my dailey right away.
Good luck on your build, and remember to enjoy the journey to the final product.

Right on! I'll give it another shot then. I tried it twice awhile back and it wouldn't complete the transaction. Good to finally hear some recent personal experience with it!

Actually those would be cool, since we are asking... Pens, ball caps, jacket patches, embroidered seat covers, monthly mail magazine subscriptions, address labels...
Oh wait... It's not the NRA or AARP. lol
Just ribbing a bit. Someone did post some "XJ" Christmas sweaters they located at another source though. Those were pretty cool.
