Looks like I'm going to need some new body parts
Since my brakes have been doing ok on trips to the store lately I decided to enjoy the fresh snow from this morning.
Traveling the ten miles to the falls I stopped at last time, I was suprised at how a tiny bit of slush in the road would make my *** end kick sideways some. I'm not thinking this thing would do good on ice in 2wd.
Just after the falls I had to avoid a car sliding around the corner and I found myself a nice little 8x8 guard post. It bent the passenger side bumper back real good, dented the fender and door, pulled my fender flare most of the way off, scratched up my bumper end cap, and rubbed a gouge in the bottom of my header panel. Oh well, it's all replaceable.
My arch nemesis, the destroyer of bumpers.
I guess it could look worse.....
The bumper steel got shoved in pretty good.

*WARNING - VERY PIC HEAVY*
I made a sad face at the new body damage, pulled the dog out from under the passenger dash (there is no passenger seat), and decided it wasn't going to ruin my trip. Virgin snow! Now, i get to test the jeep ............and not worry about cars sliding around in front of me.
I drove the last 50 feet of road and finally got on the gravel. I spent the next two miles hoping there wasn't cars sliding around the corners at me. I made it to the first major fork in the road and was happy to see that I was going to be the first to go to the right, Hells Ya! Breaking trail is a great way to test the Jeep.
I use to swim here as a kid. I was tempted to today, but didnt feel like tempting fate. I had to work a little for my drive today. The dog and i moved the tree out of the way so we could carry on.
Its getting deeper!
She might suck on asphalt, but she did damn good in the snow! That limited slip I installed did awesome. I got way up the hill and into 8" of powder and she was still humming along like it was nothing. Seeing as my gauge showed 1/8 of a tank of gas, and I was alone, I turned her back towards home happy with her performance today. Checking out one of the many little falls along the road.
I finally made it back down to where my axles tubes werent scraping up all the snow.
Most of the way back down the deeper stuff. A little worse for wear today, but i still love looking at her.
Kane sniffing the air near where we say a lot of deer tracks.
I gotta say that my Cherokee did pretty good today, and that I'm sure I picked the right rig to build for a snow toy. I can't even imagine how she'll do when she is actually built for snow.

I did have a very good time playing in the snow today, and I did come home safe, as you mentioned. That pole wasn't fun to hit, but the 25' rocky drop to the river wouldn't have been fun either. I'm glad it was there and not futher up the hill where it's more dangerous.

I would unbolt the passenger fender then bang it out from the back as straight as you can and call it a day! You could also maybe massage the door a little as well. The paint looks great on the Jeep still I wouldn't worry about it too much, it adds some character to it. Sorry to hear otherwise, I know how it feels. At least you had a fun time the rest of the day.

Oh man I would like to have a nice snow this year. hasn't done much here for enjoyment in a while.
Hate to see the body damage, but better than getting tangled with a car. Good dodging there.

SuperBriteLed.com finally got my replacement led's to me. 4 out of 5 even work.
I'm not very impressed with these guys at all. My entire first order was wrong. It took two weeks to get my replacements, one of my bulbs is bad, and the lights seem a little less than "Super" brite.
I don't know if I wanna send just the bad one back and wait 2 weeks for the replacement, or just say f*ck it and send all of them back and be done with them. Its actually all red, my camera just wont capture it all as red. Notice the lower right is dark? Ya, me too.

Been finishing up some property line fencing so no big work being done on the jeep, just a couple little things to report.
I was told my door seals might be leaking due to the window frames not seating tight enough, so I crammed a moving blanket into the door jam and pushed the window frames in a little. It seems to be working because it's been outside for 4 days in the rain and is staying dry inside.
It's been pointed up hill the whole time so I got it turned around and pointed downhill to see if she still stays dry. If so, I'll reinstall the carpet and interior.
I also scored a black bumper and end caps with stock fogs for $40, and they are mint! The guy only wanted $30 but he held it for 3 days and we met half way so I gave him $40 for being cool.
On the way home I stopped and picked up one of those fel-pro blue reusable valve cover gaskets and plan to get to work fixing that pretty soon.

The door seals did great in the rain over night, but failed the hose test when water was put to the door just under the rain gutter. I think it's good enough to put my carpet back in, as long as I avoid car washes

It snowed again so I got the wife and my oldest son to join me back on the hill. We had a great time and the Jeep did great for 99% of the trip, untill the front right brake started to stick again. My pedal got real high and stiff so I can tell something is stopping the pressure from backing off. It's weird because I put about 60 miles on it before that. We stopped at the falls once on asphalt again, started it back up after five minutes and drove off with the smell of hot brakes. I don't understand why it waited for the last 5 miles home, but I'm happy that it did.
My oldest in lead followed by my wife
Kane enjoying the deep snow
I remember it being so much cleaner last week
My kid showing us how a lift and 35s allows you to play around more
