I've been on here for a while bit haven't done a build thread. Now for the back story, I had a '99 ZX2 5 speed. The girlfriend doesn't know how to drive a stick and I was leaving for Texas so I traded it for a '88 XJ Laredo with 187k. It has factory sunroof and tire carrier, power locks/windows. PO tinted the rear windows and put a kenwood head unit in. This is what she looked like when I brought her home

Got here home and hated the flat black and she needed a bath

Couple days later I got bored with all black, decided to paint it my hometown baseball team's color

After spending a month in Texas, I finally got to tinker with Marilyn. My plans: 3" lift, this is my dd and I want to hit some trails now and then. Strip the interior and bedline, new seats, rewrap door panels, basically make it my own and not something out of the 80s. This is where she sits now

I picked up a set of D-windows from a guy for $75, also a new leafs from work

Probably this weekend I'm going to my buddy's shop and installing them

Got the cragers on! But now it runs like crap in the rear. Have her at my buddies jacked up and gettin new springs put in

After a long time of finding the time to get the springs in finally got it done!! She rides a lot better and no longer rubs when I hit a bump

Slow build but she is my dd and finding time after work is hard, don't have a garage to do too much work, little update rewired the O2 sensor, back up to 15mpg. Also gettin rid of the dynomax super turbo muffler and Puttin a thrush welded in
