This is my first attempt at working on cars. It's been a work in progress, but I would like to turn this jeep my dad donated to me into a daily driver plus off road capable machine. This jeep was given to me while I was in college because I needed a car of some type, I was poor, and my dad no longer had much faith in it, so he essentially gave it to me and told me to keep it running



I'm doing the write up on this site and on www.mycarfling.com, It's a little easier to upload fullsized pictures there so more pictures will probably be there.

Some of this stuff I've done over the past three years I just haven't uploaded it yet, so it will all be past tense

After about 20k miles that I put on it, the engine finally gave out. This was around 225k on the engine. So naturally my recourse wasn't to get a new car, but rebuild this one. After a lot of research around the internets at the time, I decided to go ahead and stroke the engine because it's cheap and easy. My kinda combo .

As you can see from the cylinders, there's a bit of residue in there Lotta burnt oil over the years.



Here's the block after getting it back from the machine shop, bored 30 over



Got the heads rebuilt for me (didn't trust myself with that little task).



Here's the bottom end all hooked up.
