Hey everyone! It's been a long time coming but I'm back at this project. I'm moving into a new garage space that I rented so I can finally finish this. I also had some personal things tie up my finances for a bit.
No time has been wasted though as I've so far stripped the interior out. There was a few leaks where water penetrated for some time I suppose because I found some rust on the floor and firewall on the passenger side. It's no more than a few pinholes but I'd like to dress it up and refinish the interior. I might just rivet in a new piece of sheet metal where the rust is or replace the whole floor pan on the front passenger side.
Either way, I'll treat the rest with POR15.
For insulation I decided to go with LizardSkin Ceramic Insulation and LizardSkin Sound Control.
Then a final protective layer of Raptor Liner in black.
Inside doors, hatch, and roof will get 80 mil sound deadening mats.
Headliner will be stripped of fabric and sprayed with Raptor Liner in black.
Some interior trim pieces will be refinished in matte black, some will stay the original tan.
I'll remake the door cards and re-wrap them in vinyl, not sure what color yet. Toying with the idea of making them just out of aluminum.
7/8" square tube custom dash and center console with sheet metal panels powder coated black.
Looking to setup the garage this weekend, will keep y'all posted with pics!
