I guess I'll update on the drippy T-stat housing...no more drips!! Yay!!
Got sidetracked on the way to the store for some milk. Not as muddy as some might like, but it's SoCal, I'll take what I can get. Ground was way softer that the pics show, got a chance to use the front locker finally and it worked great!
Once again, my son approves.
Finally made it to the store, and parked next to a Wrangler that was way too clean.
That's all for now. Still have parts on the shelf in the garage, have more goodies in route to my house, and putting together a list of other wants/needs. More to come.

Accomplished a few more things today, pretty happy with the results.
Installed my "new" LCAs, notched the axle side so there's no contact, moar flex bro. And full turn with the Canyons and 31s (no spacers) gives no more rub jobs.
Yanked the radio, just because one day I'm going to install a system, wanted to see what the OP had done. He shrink tubed half the wires, and taped half. Everyone needs a little variety I guess, at least he used a harness.. He also screwed the deck to the case, so even though I had the Pioneed removal tools, they didn't help.
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for, the best thing I've done to the XJ so far, the type of things that haters gunna hate on.... F'n rubber floor mats yo!!!! $23 on Amazon, don't bite my style!!

Finally did some proper wheeling today. Not too many pics, as I was behind the wheel most of the day.
When you enter a trail with a scull and crossbones, you've got to expect a little damage.
Guess that makes up my mind on sliders or rocker replacement. Here's a funny pic: go home Hummer, you're drunk!
But seriously, that think made these trails look easy. This is about the only pic I took of my own rig, waiting for the trail below to clear.
Beautiful scenery.
Hopefully get some more pics up soon. There were some folks from a local group that I tagged along with that took lots of pics, said they'd post online. And of course I hope to post pics of a rocker replacement soon enough.

I had a great time, as did my son! The fat Hummer did surprisingly well even on the skinny trails. It left with some scratches and a hanging LED pod on the side, but that guy had no issues with wheeling it as it was intended. It didn't flex very well so he had a couple "butt pucker" moments, that's about it.

Yup, like an aluminum can. Funny thing is that sliders were going to be my next purchase, guess I'm spending a little more and getting 2x6 welded in place of the rockers.

Sweet deal man! I run a long arm kit and it came with a adjustable track bar. One thing I'd recommend is getting the kit with a better mounting bracket also. The stock one didnt seem tough enough with my install.

Well, when I finally took it apart 10+ yrs later and sold off the pieces, the washers were still there as spacers.

Pretty common I suppose, but as you can see the nut spacers were very temporary. The 3/4" spacer is about to get taken out as well, 1/2" plate will be going in the same time as motor/tranny mounts. If that works I'll make up some 1/4" to go in at a later date. Now that I've been driving Jeep more often, and slowly accumulating gear in the back, the suspension is settling out pretty nice. Stay tuned folks...

Nice build! I was going through the thread and just realized you're in SoCal! I'm in San Diego (East County). I'll have to pick your brain some time for local trails, I'm new to 4x4's and don't know where to go short of heading out to Borrego/Desert regions.
Digging your build thread though, keep up the good work!
