I am. I sold it.

I really liked it at first but then it started to sour on me. The guy I sold it too was super enthusiastic about it, so I'm sure it's in good hands. Kind of sad to know he'll be painting it though. That thing stayed completely original until now.

And thanks for the bumpstop advice Satirical and Jand! I'll probably go the cheap yet effective route like that. OR... the expensive polyurethane progressive route HAHA!

Shocks came in today. Springs should be here next week.

I get you...that may be the reason why I haven't pushed to get another one and install on mine...
I seen one at upick the other day I was so eager to grab it but then realized why would I want one?
It would look BA but I know I would eventually take it off. Maybe because I don't want to think about leaking or rusting later on....

I'm liking the shifter though....I bet shifts are a lot faster and easier

Does the Hurst shifter make going into !st and second a lot easier? I know the ax15 is notorious for being tough to get into second gear below 2k rpm. I know mine is!

Love the build!

1st to second is significantly easier. At low rpms, accuracy is fantastic and I no longer grind going into reverse (not that I did all the time before, but sometimes it would). It is heavier though, and sometimes reluctant to go into first but I think the PO didn't know how to drive and abused my AX15 in the process.

What's more impressive about the shifter is when you're on it! My gas mileage has been awful lately because I'm just hauling butt everywhere.

Scored some goodies. I'm going for broke!

It's about time I bought these:

Scored a sweet on board air system with table. I'm going to bolt it down and add a cargo/pet divider so I can stack stuff on the table.

Gas tank skid!

Also got out to play a bit. Got a good chance to flex it out. My front far surpasses the rear. I'll have to address that. I'm leaning towards shackle relocation brackets and IRO shackles to minimize any extra lift but max out the springs & new shocks.

thanks, and I know I have chains on the back of my jeep because my trailers safety chains aren't long enough for my 6" drop I have to use.

That's why you add a 2nd 'S' hook to the chain to hold the extra up off the ground when not needed.

or you twist the chain to shorten it.....

many ways to accomplish the same thing. Main reason I went the way I did was I needed to pull my trailer and I hooked it up, went to put on the safety chains and they didn't reach. Went in the garage found some chain and hooked it on the bumper and run it like that since.

I would do the same.... To hook my safety chains to my hitch I have two 3000lb rated hooks that I hook the chains to

Yeah, uh none of that haha!

It's a security blanket. That chain was used years ago to pull out a broken down BMW in a muddy medium I used to own using a Subaru I adored. I left the chain on that car because I thought it was kind of mad max ish.

I put it on the Jeep because I found it. It has been used as a safety chain for our trailer though.
