Project: Grocery grabber
I had a handful of Cherokees when I was younger and got the itch to get back into one. Bought his XJ roughly a year ago, sat in my driveway for months, did a few basic mods out of the gate while it was sitting there (used it to get groceries on the weekends). Since then have lost motivation due to living at work. I want to find motivation again so I figured I'd start a build thread to hold myself accountable. Its gonna be a slow build, hope ya enjoy.

I plan to get some actual work done on this thing this summer so stay tuned. I don't have any pictures of the lift, steering, ect because I had no intentions of making a thread but alas here I am. Been awhile since I've been on forums so be gentle. |
Nice start. So did you repair the quarter panels or just cover them back up?

Nice start you have going on.
I prefer Grizzly or Detroit lockers. No ill manners on the road with my grizzly, although with detroits in the past, I would hear a loud bang that would scare the passengers, but they never failed on the trail. Not like air lockers with their air leaks or o-rings that would fail leaving you with no locker. I have truck lite led headlights. As for on-road, they have a nice cut off as to not blind other drivers, but I have mine angled down so far, the high beams aren't impressive. I guess that is what I get for being concerned with other people. I haven't had dealings with any other led headlight, so I can't elaborate if they are better/worse than the knock offs. I won't be replacing them though. I'll just add a small led light bar for night outings. Hope this is helpful. |
