Today I started working on the engine!
All bearings are in terrible shape...
Except the bearings engine is in good overall condition.

Looks like it is time to turn that crank! Chances are whatever went through those bearings went through the cam bearings as well. If you arent replacing the oil pump, you might want to crack that open and see what the rotors look like. Other then that, those bearings honestly dont look too bad. No copper showing is always a good thing!

I bought new oil pump already. I talked to the mechanic who has shop next to us and he told me that the crankshaft is not too bad, and new bearing are gonna work on it.
Also I bought the new cam bearings and I will replace them too.

Sorry guys for not posting anything for some time
I was busy with the school and work.

I started to assembly the engine yesterday.

New bearings on.


On bearings I used Permatex super slick assembly lube ( very nice stuff )
New freeze plugs ( I used Permatex Indian Head to seal them )
timing chain and cover
dampener
rockers and push rods are installed






Also I decided to buy the new floor pan.

Continue to work on the engine today.
Water pump, thermostat & thermostat housing, oil pan are on.
