Project D.D./trail rig
I picked up my 2000 XJ about 2 months ago, got it with a good front bumper, 2" BB, 31s and some ok wheels.
heres some pics when I 1st got it (click on pics to make bigger) http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...220CST2010.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...-25-064421.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...-25-064400.jpg I have took it out afew times and everything worked as it should. I had my back tires rubbing when it would flex so I knew it needed more of a lift. afew pics of it on the trail http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...1267933940.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...1267934969.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...1266958601.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...002CST2010.jpg |
so I ordered a RC 3" lift and put it on this weekend with the 2" BB (front spacer, rear shackle). So far everything seems to be working fine.
a pic as soon as it was on http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...717CST2010.jpg Then had to do make sure everything was ok http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...743CST2010.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...755CST2010.jpg http://i341.photobucket.com/albums/o...800CST2010.jpg |
next on my list is front and rear lockers, a winch then maybe go to 33s. Its my DD so need to keep it simple.
|
its a jeep you dont need a winch, lol. it looks good keep us posted.
|
Oh SNAP!!!
Looks like somebody else has a blacked out XJ!!!
Looks good man!!! |
thanks guys, I'll keep this updated. Its a good way for me to keep up with everything I do to it.
Also it has a Intake, TB spacer, and a catback as well |
My rear end went out, found one at a junk yard for $150 so putting that in this weekend. Going to keep my stock rear end and start bulding it once I have some more money.

:cool2:

I unhooked the sway bar for the 1st time. I'm still running stock brake lines so I was worried but have tons of room with them still

the 3" RC and the 2" BB are working great, now I'm going to get a spool for the rear and start saving for a locker on the front |
I have not done much to my Jeep, just maintance. I did get a Hi-lift and put it on my roof rails, lasted one ride. Don't know how folks ride with racks on top of there XJ.
