Project Cheap Jeep! Pics
This is my first jeep project so going to do it on the cheap. So far I have $650 in it paid 500 for it and have 150 in the new wheels and had the 30X9.5 tires laying around. Next going to cut the wheel wells. and see if it rubs and then a lift if need.
https://i278.photobucket.com/albums/...Jeep/jeep2.jpg Right before I bought it https://i278.photobucket.com/albums/...Jeep/jeep3.jpg At home in the garage waiting on new wheels. Oh and sold the stockers for 100 bucks paid for most of the soft 8s:chinese: https://i278.photobucket.com/albums/...0Jeep/jeep.jpg New wheels and tires still need to cut wheels wells. |
Oh its a 1990 limited
|
its a good start especially for a low budget good job hows it run ??
|
X2.
|
It runs fine think it has a weak fuel pump it cranks over more then it should before it starts. The day I picked it there was some issues with running it had been setting for 6-7 months. After it started and ran has started everytime after.

http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/...udget_Lift.htm Thanks Man I was looking for something like this! And dont worry I got skillz! |
in the link it mentioned for his "4" inch lift he has an update listed to use grand cherokee V8 coils, i've used these and also used 2" coil spacers and they only netted me about 2.5-3" of lift.... given my coils were not brand new neither were they wore to junk, just figured i'd clarify for the reader next on...
i did also use the dakota springs and actually "bastard" packed them with out the 2nd biggest leaf and swapped in a stock cherokee 2nd biggest leaf and it worked out very well, my lift net is roughly 3" and its sitting on 30" (daily driver) |

3" of lift, not too stiff and still good enough to haul axles around with ease and little sag front is a pair of Grand cherokee V8 coils, and a 2" coil spacer rear is a Bastard leaf pack (mixed tween a dakota spring pack and a cherokee spring pack |
