Cool! For $200 that is easily something you can work with. Before buying off Ebay, look around the local CL again and see if you can find another steal for cheap. Even one that is wrecked toy grab all the parts you need for the $200 XJ.
I'm cheap, even though I bought my 90 XJ for $700, I got a parts 87 XJ for free... The parts XJ is long gone, the rear lower half is becoming a trail trailer...

Lifted up the rear half of the carpet wad happy to see only light surface rust in a few areas and I am hoping its the same in the front. I killed all the ants back there with some raid! Was disappointing to see that the previous owner had spilled things and never cleaned them moisture was trapped in the insulation and it was molded.....

hmmm new carpet or bedline it.....what should i do???

I forgot to pos the pics of the front half after i pulled the complete interior....
just a little carpet / dirt rot and some surface rot. I am going to knock that out and bedline it. But I first want to make sure i get it up and running before i do any of that so after i sand it and primer out the rust I will be done with interior until shes ready to roll

I pulled off the valve cover and it was filthy i wonder when the last time was the previous owner changed the oil if you are wondering yes it is the inside of the valve cover completely charred black. This was my stopping point before i got to work

Also i think i figured out why the prev owner said it ran rough on lower Rpms
The spark plugs were bad even though she said she just changed them they were filled with carbon buildup. I wonder if they put the old ones back in after they couldnt get it fixed. Also I found a vacuum line dry rotted with a 3 inch crack in it just hangin not connected. I think it may be the problem.
