Project Black and Mild aka Bella.
96 XJ. Black over grey. As the title implies this will be a mild build. If you're looking for 40" tires and one ton axles, do a search because this is going to be (to plan)
30-31" tires
2" of lift
a little cosmetic modding here and there.
Cheap-o spare tire carrier
A comfortable and capable cherocar as a daily driver and weekend wheeler.
Needs:
Front U joints replaced
Driver and passenger floor pans
A/C new compressor (maybe. Talk me out of it? Maybe on board air?)
Wheels-input appreciated. It's got the ten hole aluminum wheels, which I'm thinking of ditching for steelies and plasti-dip for the murdered out look.
Everything else on the Jeep works well, including the rear windscreen wiper.

The most important mod so far. Pay attention, because this was a tough one.

I sweated out this mod. My multitool came in real handy here.

Lol. Nice job. Know what I think ll look good? Get a set of turbine rims and paint/dip it black. I saw it on one of the members here and I think it looked pretty good.

I like how the Ravines look dipped... Not my rig, but decent shot of the wheels.

I've always liked the look of the turbines, but alas not available at the local yards. They seem to keep the steelies only, or the newer 17" rims. No middle ground.

Cosmetic upgrades continue as I wait for tires and money to arrive. Spare tire carrier from Curt as well as their roof basket. Spare tire cover is for a 30" tire and the only one I had available was an old 215 70 15.

Also now considering throwing some Spartan lockers into her. Yea or nay? Anyone have any experience with them?
