Watch out, buddy with the full width teal xj might make fun of you for your smoked lights as he did mine.
Jeep looks great..how do you like the stinger?

You should leave the 8.25 till you break it, it should be 27 spline, and pretty strong.
And the rear corner mounts riveted to the back pop off fairly easily and you can grind down the rivits if that interests you at all...

love your jeep though

just no point in smoked tail lights but to each his own. he has a 98 xj so his 8.25 is a 29spline. ive wheeled on mine for 3 years hard and havent blown it up yet (crossing my fingers) nice front stinger/bumper.

Looking good.

Have you had any problems lifting it?

Something like you couldn't go any faster than 30km/h because the wheels and steering "go crazy"...

Did you change you Pitman Arm?

^^

Moparboy01 08-27-2010 03:59 PM

I just like the whole smoked tail lights better then the O.E.M. ones or even those guys who think euro tail lights look good on a Cherokee. -they dont.

The stinger bumper has come in help many times and I like how people on the road stare at it like WTF? is that.

As for the Chrysler 8.25, I probably will keep it on til it blows up. I do maintenance on the diffs everytime I get back from wheeling so Napa loves me everytime I come in, lol.

As for the installation of the lift, it was quite easy and didnt have a lot of problems, just threw a lot of PB blast at everything for about a week before install.

The pitman arm, if I remember correctly is from TNT customs, so yes it is upgraded.

Also I have been thinking about ordering some rear quarter panel guards from JCR Offroad, guess I will just have to add that to the list of things I want to do, lol.

Planning on doing front brakes and the front shocks tomorrow before work, hopefully I can get those done before work.

Adding some fog lights to the roof rack.

Moparboy01 11-12-2010 01:54 PM

Added a few things to the old and tired XJ. Will post pictures this weekend. Rhino lined a little more and the fog lights are up on the roof rack, probably going to add a few more things this weekend before she goes in the garage-new motor-stroker time :)

Also had a recent trip to the Cliff's more body damage. Will post pictures of that as well. Once I clean the old girl up.

Check out walmart, they have 20L of 80-90 gear oil for 39.95$ here in Canada, probably like 5$ down there for you.:censored:

Nice jeep man, not a fan of tube bumpers but everything else is really nice.

Moparboy01 11-15-2010 04:08 PM

The tube bumper is actually off of my old 97 XJ. I like it because everyone is like, what the hell is that?

jbetit 11-15-2010 04:12 PM

looks good man!

So it's been a very long time since I put anything in this thread, over the past couple years I ended up trading this for a 5.9L ZJ. Recently found it on Craigslist, without the roof rack and most of the stickers taken off. I'm planning on buying this back so I might be adding another build thead. Hopefully the guy still has it.
