Project "Black and Bruised"
Well first off this is not the original post of this xj but being new I kind of half-@$$ed the first one so I decided to start over.
I have recently bought a 1998 xj. Its four door automatic 4.0L 4x4. When I bought it it was pretty beat but at 600 bucks I won't complain! It needed wheels, tires, power steering pump, taillights, a passenger front window, and I had to get a different lift for it cause the one on it wasn't included. Sounded like a big list but not really. My buddy had a 4.5" lift he let me have, I bought the wheels for no kidding twenty dollars took a wire wheel and black rattle can to them, and found the tail lights and the window for $85. I bought a new power steering pump and picked up some 33x12.50 all terrains for 30 bucks (another buddy).

Sorry phoned freaked out and added three of the same picture! Lol! Here is a picture of a few days later the first time I took it out. Fyi I am not a big mud person I like hills and stuff better but these offset wheels and these all terrains combine to make a mess of the things in any amount of it!

Bottom radiator hose started leaking but I was able to fix it easily enough on the trail. Happened to run into another xj on the trail and talked forever lol.
Took it to the car wash so that I could actaully see out of it and this is what it looked like before being washed lol.
It was a little muddy lol!

Went again a few days later with my buddy in his mostly stock tracker lol. Ended up droppin off a rock at a weird angle and messed my exhaust up so I guess thats next on the list along with taking off the transfer case drop that was already on it when I got it it keeps kicking out of 4wd.

Id like to get a LA kit prolly 6.5 but we will see. Lol I got a daughter a wife and another on the way so its definitely a budget build im gonna get rid of the rust first. Nice things is it already has the one piece windshield seal so no need to swap! Then get a lift and tires and wheels accounted for before doing the swap so that it is done all at once that is if I can wait that long haha. For now it is my dd so I am gonna focus on "Black and Bruised" id like to get a front locker an sye a internal rollcage ( cause the body is already beat) and tires. Tires first hopefully it needs it bad! I cant climb hills with these bald all terrains.
This is black and bruised next to my buddies 98 with an 8in LA and 33s due to no fender cutting yet he just put the lift on this weekend its pretty badass!
