Got this for christmas :
And since i know from helping my dad change out his rear shocks, my rear upper shock bolts WILL break. So i made these to take them completely out of the question. Gonna weld them over the OE shock location. I will be sure to make 3-4 passes.
Sorry for the crappy looking welds, i was using flux core for the first time.

Nice project rig and I love the two door look too. I am retired and working part time to build my rig too so it never stops.

You talking about the one with black fender flares? About a 4.5-6 inch lift? His tailights are red black and clear. It looks good. There is another one around that area also. It is white also. haha

I would drill and tap personally. try using pb blaster on the bolts the whole day before you do it. off chance they come out get longer bolts, bolt them in and if you dont like it then weld it and have some more strength.

Got the lift on and it rides pretty good.
Also trimmed the fenders front and rear and bedlined the lip.
And bought some 33x12.5x15 Mickey Thonpson ATs for $200. Going to pick up some black steelies tomorrow.
