Vids finally uploaded.
<<<My FIRST run and the only only run I got on video. You can see where I was having throttle issues...
<<< One of Gradon's runs.
<<< Here's a video from back in January when I got my first taste of autocrossing in my 2007 BMW 328xi. Instantly addicted. Exhaust view only. Sorry. Lol. This car is set up so well for handling with all the suspension mods I have on it.
Racejeep has SO much potential and I am really excited to tweak racejeep and autocross it more. And it can take a beating and still come back for more!

Did those 1.6 rockers do much before you boosted the jeep? I read an article on them, it said they're like throwing a mild cam in, but I want to hear how they really work. Did it boost the stock engine's power? Are the rockers all you need or did you have to replace pushrods too? I might want these for my stocker...

JEEP!!
ANOTHER JEEP!! (at the junkyard nonetheless. )
Removed the spacer block.
Trimmed the bumpstops again.... Going to need shorter ones soon.
Distance to bumpstop with full weight on axle and shocks filled with 20psi.
Rear fitment.
Stiffer 3" lift coils
Coils cut
MGP caliper covers.... I.. Ehh. As long as they keep brake dust down, I'll deal with them. Lol
Slight front rake
Ground to rear fender
Ground to front fender
At least the covers are kinda hard to see. LOL

nice build. I'm wanting a street 2door myself lately but I could never afford to go the the extend you have lol. It looks great and love the mods. I just wish I could afford to buy a second jeep atm.

Why 'because racejeep' You ask. This thread isn't about an all out racing jeep as some might think.
'Because racejeep' kind of came from 'because racecar'.
Using Google to find the origin of 'Because racecar'-
About
'Because racecar' is a memetic phrase in which questions about cars are answered simply “because racecar”. For example, if one asked “Why doesn’t that car have any trunk space?” then the other would reply “Because race car.” [1]
Origin
“Because Racecar” started on January 26, 2011 on jalopnik.com’s off-topic forum “Opposite Lock.” The actual phrase came from a Craigslist posting for a Mazda MX-3, where in the description, the seller said the car has been modified “because race car.” [2]
A screenshot of the original Craigslist posting.
Jalopniks then started using the phrase as a sarcastic reply to any ridiculous question regarding cars.
Spread
The joke caught on fast, after Justin Hyde made an article on Jalopnik’s front page regarding the meme on January 27.[3] Other users of the site began to use the phrase as well, and a website devoted to the meme was made on March 10, 2011. [4]
Why this? Why that? Why, Why, Why, Why? Questions can get extremely annoying, particularly if they come in bunches (praise your soul, if you have to deal with a five-year-old in "why?" mode). There's no need to stress, though. When you're tired of having to think about every little thing, just use the solution that all gearheads have adopted: Answer everything with, "because race car." It's simple, it's short, and if the person doesn't understand (they probably won't), that's it.
How do we get to 'because racejeep'?
My son was hanging out with some of his friends with our '99 lowered XJ and they were like '?a lowered XJ'?, etc and my son just smiled and replied 'because racejeep' and they all laughed and the phrase was coined then and there and stuck.
The best is going to the local Tuesday night car show/gathering at a local farm and parking and having the people walk by and watching their jaws drop and the expression on their faces. They point and have a big 'question mark' on their face.
Is that a Jeep? a Cherokee? Why is it lowered? Why does it have Cobra wheels? Is that a supercharger? What, wait, this is a Jeep, right?
Why? "Because RaceJeep".

Near perfect JY white hood $40.
The hardest was having faith in the template I took off the dark hood and cutting the white hood. Thankfully everything aligned up and no rubs and perfect cutout with less than 1/4" gap all around.
Key was using a smaller idler pulley and removing the 'vacuum tree' and cutting off the square lump and 2 bosses off the back of the S/C and 1-1.25" hood lift.
