Project 96xj new life
 

So this is going to be a slow build over the next year. I have a few things to fix before I can get it on the road but hopefully I can have it going before the end of next month.

This is what I'm hoping to get it looking like this is my dads friends xj it's a 93 with a four inch lift and 32's

Mines a 96 Cherokee sport I plan to do a four inch zone lift with jks coil-over spacers and a liquid metal shackle relocation brackets and an sye. I also plan on running rubicon rims and 32" tires. I also plan to run the jcr front and rear bumpers and build my own roof rack.

I drove the Cherokee home the other day from my parents house where it was sitting until I had some time time to work on it now I have her home and plan on pulling out most of the interior to give her a good cleaning and start getting her buttoned up and on the road again. I need to install a new motor mount and radiator and everything to give a complete tune up. I have everything but the cap and rotor so I still need to get that and while I have a stock air box out I'm going to put in a new board throttle body and high flow air filter.

Well project new life my be ending for the 96 Cherokee but I'm not sure what I'm gonna by doing with her right just yet as I have picked up a 2000 Cherokee sport

Project 96 new life is in the shop getting worked on and hopefully will soon be back on the road not sure what I'm gonna do with her since I picked up a 2000 Cherokee sport as well maybe I'll still keep her and have an extra the 2000 is going into the shop soon as well cause the head cracked a little over a week ago so we will see what happens

well I just project 96 new life back from the shop ands she's up and running good. I thought my wife wanted me to get rid of her when I bought my 2000 but she's saying she wants me to keep her as a backup vehicle and bugout vehicle should the need arise. so now is the time to upgrade her as well. I think I'm going to pull the lift from 2000 black xj dd build up and put a bigger lift and tires on it as I have envisioned something different for that project.

I think I will start with the lift first and then change out the fender flares and bumpers. next will be a roof rack and various engine modifications. will have to wait and see. I've been looking into the grand Cherokee front seat swap as well. so hope fully in the next few weeks we will see a 3" lift and some 31" tires. then probably February or march she will get the fenders and front bumper with a winch. after that she probably wont get to much more then that. will be posting more pics of the progress as it continues.

changed the oil and replaced the o2 sensors in her today and cleared the check engine light. going to install the 3" lift from my 2000 to this one and do a few other interior modifications. I also painted the grill and headlight housing covers.

well its been a while since i posted in this thread and after having a new baby project new life had to go to a new home. so now i will be focusing all my efforts on the daily driver.
