It started life as an insurance write off someone bought at auction, there is a good story soon too come about that. when i got it it had 135k miles on it, a 2ish inch rustys lift and 33's shoved under it. the pcm was dead so as soon as i started it it killed itself thinking someone is using a shaved key in the ignition. It had no hood latch so i had to use my belt to tie it down to get it home. thankfully my brother was scrapping his old jeep (the one in the background) which was the same year color and just about every factory add on as mine. The first thing i did was switch pcms and presto it fired up like new.

Looks like a nice start. Are you sure it's not 3"s on 33s? Looks like you have enough room to just steer them at least. Check out the write-ups on cutting the rotted out rocker and welding in some 2x6 steel in place.

It was about time to fix the hood latch situation so i did this, havent seen many Cherokees with hood pins

next thing to go was the wizard sleeve of a head liner and the carpet. The transmission tunnel gets so hot now, especialy in the summer time, i have no hair on my right calf

Some where a long the line the wheel bearings needed replacing, 2 breaker bars later they were done

As the weather warmed up i decided to cut the fender flares and cut and fold the rear quarter panels

It was finally time to give it a full cleaning, i still haven't bed lined the floor yet

One of the first impulse buys was a rear bumper off of rusty's offroad so i could go wheeling' asap. after shopping around i found this front bumper from affordable offroad. All it needed was a coat of paint.

looks good if you ask me!

Did the bumper come with tie in brackets past the three bolts? I wouldn't trust those recovery points with just the three front bolts.

I like the Jeep, it's coming along nicely. I thought about doing hood pins as well, looks sweet.
