Prepping for lift kit.

I will be lifting my XJ this weekend 3 inches and putting on 31's too. I work at a Nissan Dealership in the shop so ill have access to the tools I need and to a lift. Is there anything that I should be weary of? Or any common problems that people have ran into while lifting I should look out for? I'm using the Rough Country 3 inch add-a-leaf kit.
thanks!

Rear upper shock bolts. Prepare to curse.

Front eye bolts of the rear leafs. be gentle. yet firm. a few cuss words usually help.

We did the lift kit installations on the trucks from our fleet and came up with a small list of tips on how to perform the installation better, perhaps it's going to be helpful for you: Six Key Learnings From Our Lift Kit Install

Among the things that I would like to point out are:
1. Always follow the installation instruction
2. Make sure the kit is complete and nothing is missing
3. Don't underestimate the time you need
