Well I finally made it back into the jeep world. This time I bought a previously lifted '88 Cherokee pioneer. I bought it with a 3.5 inch lift, I believe he said it was a Rustys lift. After getting it home and in the garage, I decided it was time for a new interior. So after a quick post on a local Facebook group page, I was in contact with someone who's girlfriend got drunk and rolled her jeep. so I was in luck. I bought all the interior plastics, Carpet, A column, Back seat, 1 front seat, 2 flares, and 4 doors. I wasn't planning on getting the doors but it was a good deal. So after getting it all torn down, here is a list of things I found that it needs;
-Some holes in the floor need to be patched
-Column is shot
-Quarter panels are rotted
-Rockers are toast
-Will need tires real soon
-He said it stalls out when driving..... Sometimes
-Rear hatch is cracked
I plan on making this jeep into a beautiful Daily Driver, that I can take into the woods from time to time. I want people to get in it and forget that they are in a jeep. My plans so far are;
-Patch floor
-Replace rockers with 2x4 or 2x6 Box steel
-Cut and Fold rear quarters
-Really clean the interior
-Insulate using Dynamat or similar product
-Heated seats
-Nice sound system
-Maybe look into 32's or 33's
-Make it not stall out
Here is how it looked the day I got it

I did some more work on it tonight. Tonight I replaced the steering column with my donor one. While I was underneath some blue paint on my driveshaft got my eye. So I went to get a better look and discovered my jeep has a SYE! That was the highlight of my night. The new column is in and works beautifully. The only issue I have is I can't flash my high beams.

To be honest, I don't know. I am planning on finding some power seats (Hopefully a nice car gets totaled at the body shop i work at) and making my own brackets to mount the seat to the Cherokee seat frame. I have also been toying with the idea of a heated steering wheel. also new Chevys have heated and cooled seats!

Well I finally got the ambition to work on my jeep again today. I started replacing the rot on the floors. I took a lot of pictures so be prepared! I only got one spot done before cold and hunger and fire calls got in the way. I also got annoyed at the garbage drills at my house so I went out and bought some nice new dealt drills

Here we go again. I got home from dinner and started cutting. It was all going great until I ran out of seam sealer. I guess I'm at a standstill again.
