Did a little research and wound up with a 4.5 RC full rear leaf kit. With BFG A/T's 31-10.5s on M/ T Classic II.

Attachment 122699

Took me about 10 hrs to install it stopping to coach a tee ball game in the middle of it. I there was a bolt that could break or seize it did. I sprayed everything with PB but it didn't help too much. Well worth it after the final look!!!

I've also done a little trail riding nothing big as I haven't had time or had anyone to go with me in case something happens. I found out real quick why people climb rocks and don't fool with mud. It takes forever to get all the mud out from under it.

I'm slowly going to add parts to my Jeep and make it the way I want it so stay tuned.

After looking at Jeeps on here all day at a Fire Alarm inspectors refresher class, I decided to come home and cut the bottom valance off my front bumper.

Attachment 123035

I got them all cut off and sanded the plastic, cleaned it with some degreaser and sprayed them with some duplicolor bed armor, they turned out real nice. I also sprayed the front bumper black after sanding it real smooth.

I found the best tool ever to cut the plastic with:

I used a wood blade then cleaned it up with a file and a razor knife.

Looks good, lookin forward to your progress.

I've been looking at Jeeps here and found that my lift would look a ton better with some 33x10.50's. What's your opinion?

BendXJMan 06-09-2012 01:51 PM

You can probably fit 33s with 4.5". Not too sure it you'd rub or not.

Went ahead and did some nightshades on my turn signals.

Attachment 123268

Turned out really good. I'd say for now it did away with my need for a front bumper. I do however need a couple tow points.

you can fit 33's on 4.5" but you wont have a lot of flex if you dont trim and stuff i have 32's on a 4.5" and i havent trimmed anything only removed flairs and theres places i need to trim

I've been noticing that my Jeep is leaning to one side in the rear. The drivers shackle is almost straight up and down, the passenger is leaning a little. I really don't want to lift the rear anymore by installing the adjustable ones, I was wondering of someone with infinite XJ knowledge could help me out.

its most likely the track bar did you drill the whole and inch over like rc says to do? i did and i still had to shift the body to line everything up. If you did best thing to do is get adjustable trac bar. My trac bar pulled down the front and made the back sit weird too just a thought.

It's not the front it's the rear only. I got under it the other day to remove my rear sway bar and noticed the fender well gaps were different because my head wouldn't hardly fit on the passenger side. LoL

I'm 99% sure it has to do with the rear shackles.

Did a little flex test the other night. After removing my rear sway bar.

Attachment 125094

That's all the flex I could manage, the other tire was well off the ground. Guess I'm going to have to look into some RC relocation brackets.

Also installed some Hella 700FF driving lights. Haven't got to use them yet. Stay tuned for more.
