Question Novice '94 ZJ Build

Hi,

I am a newbe to the forum and the world of Jeep builds looking for some sound advice and a shop in the mid-Michigan region that can help me. I am the original owner of a '94 Grand Cherokee Larado, with Up-Country Suspension, that I've taken on several Jamborees. During the last one I sucked in water making a splash while puddle jumping, an expensive lesson to be sure. Those experiences gave me an itch that I now have the resources to scratch.

The first projects that I would like to to apply are: 1) a Reubicon Express 4.5 lift kit and, 2) an ARB Safari Snorkel, which will require that the ABS Controller be relocated. I don't intend to breath any more water. Are the any other issues with either projects that I should be aware of and is there a good 4x4 shop that can help?

Thanks, perhaps I'll see ya on the trail.

Default Here's what I encountered

To answer my own question about the lift, I needed to get a drop pitman arm (Rugged Ridge #18006.54) and rear brake line (RE1513) to complete the project. These parts were not included with the kit. Also, the rear sway bar ends needed to be bent outwards a bit to clear the kit springs. Otherwise things went well and I've had no trouble since the install last year.

A Safety Advisory, voluntary recall, has been issued, however, for the lower control arms on kits built/shipped in the time frame I got mine - May/June 2013. I give the Rubicon Express folk credit for handling this matter with no fuss, replacing suspect parts and paying return shipping on them.

As for the snorkel, I haven't gotten to that yet. Tires, wheels, rocker panel protection (after damage done ), and various other projects have gotten in the way, like trying to find a left rear wheel speed sensor. I'm hitting local salvage yards in that endeavor as a new one is as scarce as hen's teeth.
