I just bought a Jeep Cherokee 2001... now the work begins. I bought it from a Copart in Indiana so it would have less rust than one here in Michigan. However, it has front end damage, so my hope is that it will be a blank canvas. I can replace the broken parts with upgraded/ performance parts. Hopefully the pictures show up below. I am looking to do things on a budget, but to do them right as well. If I can save money by fabbing it myself I will, but I don't want a pile of junk either. Tomorrow I will post pictures of the front suspension and more of the Jeep. That is all for now.

Well i got some more pictures today and assesed the damage. Because the steering was messed up and I wanted to move the jeep to a better spot I had to employ some... creative means. We tried just pulling it with the wheels on and it would hardly move. We tried putting the tire on a satalite dish and sliding it rolled right off... Finally after two hours of trying to move it we made a dolly out of some old castors and pushed it with my truck.

First impressions of the jeep
There is less space in the front seat than I thought
There is less space in the trunk than I thought.
I got a free Amp! (since i bought it from Copart I did not know really what i was getting )

Well we wanted to move the jeep from where the shipper put it so it would be easier to work on... three hours later we moved it thirty yards to where it needed to be. We tried pulling it with the spare on but because of the bent tie rod it looked like it was going to pull the wheel off... we tried putting the wheel on an old satellite dish but it rolled right off. eventually we when into the workshop found some castors, made a dolly, and pushed it with my truck what a pain!
