new guy, 91 xj build
I bought this about 2 years ago, been slowly modifying it, i've always been a chevy guy so I didn't know **** about these when I bought it, I've since learned a little bit lol
I'm gonna try to go all the way back to the beginning, so bear with me if some of it's out of order
1991 cherokee, 4.0, manual trans, 30/35 combo, old Rubicon express 3" lift , 31" Wrangler RT/S's, disconnects, glasspack exhaust, with a shifter boot made out of denim jean material
here's a pic from the day I brought it home, in my driveway:
replaced the hood latch cable, gave it a wash, my wife vacuumed it out, then my buddy threw on a set of 31x10.5x15 Hankook MTs, they're ssooooooooo smooth and made it look slightly less like a poor person's ride:
next step was axle replacement, scored another d30/35 combo off craigslist from a kid in the next town over that was parting out an 89, he thought the rear had a limited slip of some sort and possibly 4.10 gears, sounds decent, right?
we get them back to my buddies house to install, pop the covers off and find out that there's detroits in both and 4.56 gears, score!
so we installed the axles and ditched the swaybars completely
If I remember correctly, rocksliders came next, JCRoffroad stage 3's to be exact, can't find a pic of the install, but here's an after
to be continued in the next post....

stage 2: my wheeling buddies stepped up their games and both went with 38's and armor and actual wheeling rigs, so I had to step up, only not as big
Iron rock offroad 5.5LA, sweeeeet
installed hack n tap SYE at the same time, no pics tho
on the 31's
then traded a guy on greatlakes4x4.com for some 33x12.50 BFG km1's on some factory wheels of some sort
awesome flex on the 33's with the new lift
next step was 1-ton steering from Ruffstuff,
but now that there's no steering bind, here's what my flex looks like now
and got rid of the stock cherokee wheels and bought steelies because I was rubbing like crazy on the inner fenders and couldn't turn at full stuff, then with -12 offset, I was rubbing on the fenders, so we smashed the hell out of them and clearanced to fit at full flex
which brings us to present: how she looks today
