This is gonna be my first jeep that I own, I have drivin a lot when I was stationed Germany and I loved the xj the most so that's what I'm looking for mainly. I've been looking for a couple months now and I am stationed in Korea while my wife is in the states I do however have a mechanic buddy in my hometown who can look at a vehicle if I go further with it. Ive found this jeep on CL and just want some other people's opinions on it. Link is below and thank you in advance for all who post back.

Decent price for a Cherokee- they will all mostly have over 100K and even 200K and most still run strong. Definitely have your buddy check it our for the normal stuff- low compression, slipping trans n such. It will probably have an oil leak- many do and the fixes are usually relatively simple.
Thank you for your service-

It's gonna be my project car once I get out and get back home, and thank you just can't wait to get this started I've been looking at build threads for bout 3 months now and I'm gettin excited lol

Jeeps are pretty simple- no complex systems- and relatively simple to do almost anything yourself if you know which end of the hammer to use. Enjoy your build once you get hooked up with your Jeep and post pics!!

The good thing about xj's is parts are cheap so just find one that's got no rust. We've lost the majority of xj's in WV from rot... I do like it I just wonder why it has temp tags and he's getting rid of it already..Good luck..
