Need help! Torx window screw on a 92 XJ
I’m replacing all of my windows on my Xj some kids busted them out. I started on the drivers side of course! And when I removed the panel and lifted the plastic cover there was one (1) torx screw on the track that raised the window up and down not two bolts. I tried manually removing the torx screw with a I believe t30 bit with no luck then I took out my drill and still no luck the screw just spins and spins I can see a thread behind the white plastic that the window was in but it’s just spinning... no idea what to do! Help me |
Update!
Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up drilling out the stupid screw. Once I got the white plastic piece put it had a metal washer inside that basically riveted the bolt and didn’t want to release. 3 more to go. This snow storm doesn’t help with timing. Work is super busy, I’m a tow truck driver.

Glad you got it sorted out.
Tow truck driver huh. Only job that I think might be better to have when you own a Jeep is to work at an auto parts store like me. LOL. |
