lol yea that's probably what the deal is then. They are new so they aren't softened up any. Bolt to the axle, then front bolt, then line up the rear to slide in the shackle and slowly lower the jeep. The weight should expand the spring enough to fit the rear bolt in.

lol yea that's how it goes. Have you tried replacing the rear shocks yet? That might take some language also.

the rear shocks were another story... like everyone else i snapped pff the four bolts holding them in. Searched on here and NAXJA about how to replace them but didnt really want to cut up my rear floor... found a thread that said you can knock out the nuts with a punch and use a access point to put in new nuts...

thats about how far i am now, i got the nuts and bolts there but not tightened... actually i dont really have anything tightened... it's been a long couple of days... lol

soon as i am done i will post some before and after pictures...

Question

ok... it's done but it's dark out...

just a question, i have the 4.5" lift, full packs out back. which i understand will settle... (from 29" up to 36" with the pack) BUT...

i measured from the floor to the fender flair bottom on the front b4 i started and had 30". Now i have 36" with the same tires... will the front settle as well? i was expecting some where around 33" or 34" when done... please tell me this won't settle... i like where it is lol...

It will probably settle to 4.5-5" right around there.

I just lifted mine with the 4.5 RC longarm kit and I gained 6 in the rear and 5.5 in the front. My leafs went in the same way. Enjoy the bumpy ride lol. They'll settle a little but I'm with you on not wanting them to! Let's see some pics!
