Did u get full leafs or add a leafs. If you got add a leafs they get installed with your old suspension. if you got full leafs they should be ruffly the same legnth when laying flat on the ground as the originals. probly just a little thicker!

full leafs... and the are 2" shorter than my stockers, and thicker....

Idk man. I would seriously think about calling thier service people and make sure they sent the right ones. As big as a company as they are they should have a 24 hour assistance number somewhere in the packaging. They are going to have to bolt into the original spots that the old ones came out of which means they have to be the same legnth. the only other thing is did that kit come with shacles to go along with the springs? If it did see if that makes up the difference. I have rusty's and im not as familiar with your kit but they should be ruffly the same.

They shouldn't be any shorter.....

yeah, i called a buddy of mine who installs lifts on xj all the time and he said they should not be shorter. He said they are normally 1/8"-1/4" longer so you prob should call!

Just checked with the delivery guy, said he forgot a box... could possibly have shackles in it? or would they matter?

And no, it's stock.. lol...

haha nope not from experience, but I've seen people do some crazy things.

From the RC site, it looks like the your kit doesn't come with shackles. It's been a few years since I've installed a lift, but have you tried bolting up the front of the spring and lowering the jeep down (slowly) and getting the spring to slide into the next hole?

dans01classic 06-06-2010 06:44 PM

possibly but either way, i called a buddy of mine that installs these lifts and he said they should not be shorter. The shackles just drop the rear of the leafs down which creat about an 1.5 more of lift. So Idk whats up. def check with distributors of parts.

Take a pic of your old ones next to the new and post up and lets see what you have.

Can you get a pic of the height dif while they are sitting that same way? If the new ones are taller, than I would say you will have to use the weight of the jeep to help slide the new spring into place since they are so stiff right now.
