My Summer Jeep Build
I bought my Jeep in May bone stock in pretty good condition. It ran well but there appeared to be some small rust spots underneath. Long story short, one thing led to another and I ended up spending about 3 months and thousands of dollars building up my jeep.
Here's a quick rundown of what I've done to it:
-Ripped out interior. Patched all holes. Bedlined whole thing with Durabak.
-Changed all fluids and did some general maintenance
-Painted with Rustoleum(aka the 50 dollar paint job). This took about 40 hours of very tedious work from stripping car, sanding whole car with three different grits, taping everything off, painting 6 coats, and finally buffing and polishing. I think it came out pretty good.
-Tinted windows(5% in back, 15% in front two windows)
-Sprayed Bumpers, Grill, Headlight Bezels, and Fender Flares with Bedliner
-Lifted 4.5" with Rough Country Full Spring Pack Kit.
-Put on Rough Country Control Arm Drop Kit
-Upgraded Shocks to Bilstein 5100 series
-Put on 265/75/R16 tires with black wheels
-Upgraded sound system.
Alpine speakers in Sound Bar.
Alpine Component's in doors w/ tweeters in doors
Alpine 12" Sub in custom built box
Kenwood 4 channel amp
Kenwood Mono Sub Amp
Pioneer Head Unit
I kinda went overboard with the sound system but it's my DD and I like music. Plus it was actually kind of fun installing it and configuring it. It sounds amazing.
-Overhauled Cooling system(New Rad, hoses, water pump, tstat, flush etc.)
I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that's pretty much it. It runs great with no death wobble. I've had it up to 90! Anyway, I've got a lot of pictures, but here's a before pic to get started.

Sanding
One of my friends thought I was spending too much time on the Jeep and decided to comment on my hood!
First coat on hood. This was my test area, since I had never done this before. It seemed to come out ok, so I pressed on.

Finished product after making it successfully up to Gainesville, FL. It's first real test, a 260 mile trip! It made it fine with no problems.
If you look closely, the paint looks like two different shades. The front fender looks darker and a little glossier than the rest of the car. This is because I bought a sealant and polish to protect the paint, and I've only put it on the hood and front fenders so far. I'll post up some more pics of the whole car polished when I'm done and you can really see the difference.
Finally, a proud Jeep owner with his Jeep.

Yeah, the rust wasn't too bad, put I patched 6 holes ranging in size from 2 inches in diameter to a foot long and a couple inches wide. You can't really see the holes in the pictures.
