Next we added lower 1/4 panel armor and the carrier all this went pretty quick with the plasma cutter.

Now all we had to do is add some recovery tabs and a receiver hitch,we used a old U bolt for the safety chain hook up. The latch took a little time to cut the little pieces and bend the hook. Then took it off to weld up solid, do a little clean up and paint.

More to come. What you think so far? BTW all parts but rear ring and pinion have been used. Cheep build so far(well not KM2's) LOL

With the 4.56 gears, how do you get the diff pin out of the carrier? Or does it still slide by?

On the Dana 30 I use a 3.74 (I think) and up carrier and it slide's in no prob. On the 8.25 we just took a grinder to the very inside of the ring gear about 1/4 a inch or so till the pin slides in. I am sure there are plenty of threads on here or NAXJA about this.

Thanks guys....Picked up a Dana 44 HP out of a f150 putting parts together for that now, in the mean time I may have found a lunch box locker for the D 30 we will see. I think I may go with a grizzly locker for the rear they about a bill less than a Detroit ....not sure yet.

Had a good day at he JY scored a gas tank skid and a trans cooler super cheep, 10.00 for the skid and the trans cooler was on the AC condenser and they did not see it.... sweet! 10.00 for the condenser. Oh yea snagged the two, two switch panels for the dash the rocker style but I took the factory switches out so thy only charged me 2.00 bucks for them. Beats chopping holes in your clean dash for lights or whatever....ARB air locker switches ....come on power ball !!!
